Question about Warding lvl...

Uhm yeah well... I've bin doing some Morai quests and I got some armors and stuff... But what exactly is the deal with the Warding lvl? In my character screen it says that damage from my lvl will be reduced... So does this mean it's useless for all mobs above or bellow my lvl? I'm using a combo of Green FF/Mold/TT90 right now (I know it's noob but at least it's cheap) all +2 and well-sharded... Is the Morai gear better or worse then that? Cause when i equip the Morai gear my stats decrease a lot and I don't know much yet about the Warding lvl and how it works and such...

On a side note: The weapons are really awesome... 8-12k damage each hit with the magic sword while only using a basic magic skill (too bad they're completely useless for clerics though) and I'm sure the Sphere for my Psy will also rock... b:thanks But boo for the slingshot... I wanted a bow dangit... b:scorn

    no, it doesnt mean that you wont benefit from warding levels when you get hit by mobs lower (or higher) than ur lvl. if you hover over the pdef or mdef it says the same thing.

    warding/slaying levels demystified by asterelle

    personally i kept boots+chest (tt90 AA pants, oht wrists and a 3* hat)
    you only purge once #yopo

    I still don't really get it... All I get is that the equip is less beneficial when fighting lower lvl bosses and such... Sorry for my noobishness... I normally don't pay much attention to equip anyway as long as it's up-to-date and all but since this was free I just want to know which I'm better of using as a pure PvE-er...

    The morai swords for my seeker makes quick work of the mobs in GV, love the slayung levels + jones blessing. Also works quite well during trials. Now I just need to refine them past +5 or get the endless universe version :P

    Yeah same! I don't use the Jones Blessing but I get some nice damage with it... Better then my old weapon... Just to bad archers are kinda left out if they don't want to be a Bart Simpson look-alike and clerics have no use for it at all...

    But I was more asking about the Warding lvles and such... The stat that's on the armors... I already know about the weapons... b:cute

    I can't speak to the cleric's issues with their Morai quest reward weapons, but the slingshot works fairly well. The only gripe I have with it is that I can't use the high level base shot with it since it's too low level. Of course, i only use the sling for Morai dailies, but still.

    Oh and yes, the psy sphere rocks. And it's a dragon! b:victoryb:laugh

    All 3 types are available. You can get the xbow from Endless Universe and the bow from the Corona Order.

    huh? no, the lower the lvl of the enemy, the more dmg reduction you get.
    worst case scenario would be [?] bosses = lvl 150
    you only purge once #yopo

    I have the full grade13 set from EU. The warding levels give ~20% extra damage reduction against level 100 mobs and 14% against level 150 mobs. I'm rather pleased with the performance of the set. The 101 set is going to be amazing.

    I wouldn't recommend using the 95 set though. It doesn't have enough warding to offset the terrible stats.

    I have to disagree with you on that one. I have a 100 cleric on which i replaced a g13 Ethereal Calmland with the morai quest reward one - tt90 chest became morai chest - tt90 legs became morai legs.

    I still have the other set of gear for PvP purposes as the original gears perform better there - but as far as PvE is concerned, the demonwarding levels more than compensate for the loss of a bit of HP. The morai set gives better mag attack than the tt90 set as well. you just have to experiment a bit is all.

    I can tell you this much.. on the older gears, the cleric was a one shot to Ancient Evil's aoe. On the morai g12 gears.. i was able to put her on a heal macro and forget about things, cuz the aoe wasnt lethal anymore.

    Hmm though choice... Since I have pretty high HP and good survivability already...

    Hmm, maybe compared to 90 Green it's better. My comparison set was 90 Gold (heavy) which has better defensive numbers (extra magic defense and phys reduction).
