Smartphone ap

hello pwi
i have a small idea . what about a android. apple and bb ap not for playing the actually game but for exemple
*taking care of your cat shop
*use faction chat
*Talk with ppl on your friendlist
*read and write mail
*browse and buy stuff from the boutique
*charge zen
*use action house
*use bidding hall
*play mini games :-)

think this would be a great way to kill some time when you are away from the computer.

oh i might have posted this in the wrong part of the forum so fell free to move it.

    Oki thanks for moving it.
    Can ad with mini games i think of something like the pwi knowledge mini quiz we have sometimes.
    And we can ad some free zen rewards like downloading a 3rd party ap to your phone and get some coins for it.several pure smartphone mmorpg do that. ( more cash for pwi)
    Put in some unique fashion in the boutique that you only can buy from your phone.that would make more ppl use the ap

    Sounds good to me o.o however I don't think there should be stuff you can only get through having a smartphone.. ;) I myself didnt have one for quite a while.. Would be pretty pissed xD

    Installing ( free?) apps for zen sounds good though o.o

    Being that I don't have a smart phone, I still think this is a pretty neat idea. =D I'd like a chat program that maybe I could download on my personal computer (like yahoo) that would read the chat currently going on in faction chat or something so I could see what was going on or answer questions without having to be physically logged into the game. I always get stolen away whenever I log on <_<

    both free aps and buy aps. offcurse you get more zen if you buy the ap like the free zen offer we have here.
    and i can understand that smartphone only fashion would make some ppl not to happy,might skip that idea for now B-)

    i spend 2hrs a day on a train so i would love a ap like that

    well i am back to bug my thread again with some more info why this is a great idea

    for the player

    *for the cat shopers you can be at work far away from any pwi client but you can still log on to your phone and look at your catshop and if you running low on tokens you can easily put in more or adjust the price on them etc

    *you best friend send you a pm from the game and seconds later your phone pings or vibrate :-) you can read the pm and replay to without need of a computer

    *running late to a tw no problem use you phone to tell the faction on the faction chat what's going on

    *waiting for the buss/train from work, why not take a look at the boutique? and if you feel like it buy some new fashion or why not play some mini games?

    *you don't have to be log on to your computer to
    use bidding hall you can do other from your phone.

    *Use AH to buy and sell stuff. no need to use your pc for that

    for pwi
    *making a android ap is not as expensive as making win program and China have some of the best android devs

    *with some simple modification to the interface this ap can be used for every mmorpg pwi-China make

    *the ap can be made for several different languages .

    *free zen offer like we have here works fine.let people download 3party ap for free zen and you get some extra cash for it.some pure smartphone mmorpg get al the income from that

    *There is a huge profit in this .

    *keeps player in the game even when they are away from the computer

    *other mmorpg have some simple aps .but nothing like this have ever be done you guys whould be the first to do it. this would bring allot of new players to the game and it gone put the spotlight on pwi once again .

    well that's al for now. sorry for my bad English ,its not my first languages but i tried to make it as good as i could.

    +1 for great idea, although i do not know whether id actually use the app i love the thought
    the loser fail nab cleric from dreamweaver who quit pwi, but still wanders the forums.

    Sounds to me you are not having enough PWI time as it is. Shouldn't you try to get rid of your addiction instead of feeding it more? b:surrender

    Anyways, if there would be a app it sure should have a few things you mentioned. However, a few things that should not happen in your list:

    *taking care of your cat shop
    *browse and buy stuff from the boutique
    *use action house
    *use bidding hall
    *play mini games

    What can be in the app:

    *use faction chat
    *Talk with ppl on your friendlist
    *read and write mail
    *charge zen

    Now let me explain, you will likely not be able to touch your inventory or your cat shop. Meaning it's really hard to add that plus unfair to other people that do not have the app or simply can't run it on their phone. Getting a huge advantage against anyone else is much like adding a god-like weapon and only a few can use it killing everyone else. Not fair in any way.

    The same goes for auction house and bidding hall, either be there or simply be out of luck. End of discussion. Buying from the boutique shop is rather odd since you need to get it anyways inworld, making it a pointless option.

    Mini games are not created by the PWI crew, so not likely they will start now for a phone app. Takes to long to make, to expansive and in the end there is no profit from that.

    Now for the more likely things from your list that will be a good thing.
    Chats of any type should be possible, these are simple and shouldn't take to long to make. This includes talking to your friends. Charging zen should be made possible by phone indeed, actually should have been added as app already. But oh well, better late then never I guess! Mail options should be possible, however you can not send attachements likely. These need to come from your inventory and so you can not accept or send these items.

    Getting a app, yes. But it should be in other terms then you suggested b:victory

    I suggested the same thing a few months back.. I like the idea. I also mentioned the idea of housing our players on our phone, thought it would be a way to give finally give players housing, at least in some form.
