    By the way, the difference between Catalyst and Absinthe, other than the one I mentioned above, is that Catalyst isn't just a bunch of R9s hoping to faceroll people by keyboard mashing. Even when not considering their gear, Catalyst is extremely coordinated and skilled at PvP and TW, as a whole faction. Especially those who've been fighting with and against each other for years now. Granted there are some members in it that have enlarged egos that would be smashed if their gear wasn't as good as it is. But most factions have at least a FEW of those.

    If you were to strip away Catalyst's gear and/or put them against a faction of equally numbered and geared opponents, they'd still dominate.

    If this wasn't the case, then they wouldn't be able to clear Absinthe from any PvP spot they wanted whenever the numbers get even close to being equal.

    If this wasn't the case, then they wouldn't have been able to roll Valalala in TW like they did.

    If this wasn't the case, then they wouldn't have taken over the map before reset.

    No matter what you claim, Catalyst doesn't NEED their gear or ganking to roll people. They're not completely dependent on it.

    However, put Absinthe against a nearly equally geared faction (Crimson) and look at what happens. You want Catalyst to slowly die and fade away so that you can get dominated by Crimson instead?

    Ok, let me tell you a story.

    You see Zeon there? He's not Catalyst, he's CrimsonJr. Once upon a time, he would always ask me to come PVP (we like to PVP together because Seeker-Psy is a very nice combo for fending off sins), I'd ask against who and where, and the typical response was "Catalyst, I'm here with a group of Absinthe killing them." I'd ask him "tf are you doing" because in my opinion he was on the wrong side.
    That sort of changed however, and now as you can see, he's sitting here calling you gankers with Catalyst.
    Yknow why? Because your guild is. I'm guessing somewhere down the line he got introduced to your little gank habits and now I don't ever hear about fighting alongside Absinthe anymore. You may not gank, but trust me, your guild does. I'm actually posting this immediately after being jumped by an Absinthe sin, followed by 6-7 people showing up (2-3 R9) after that sin died. And this happens ALL THE TIME. FFS I've killed a sin before (who jumped ME, I didn't start it) and then the response was a full 6-man squad of r9s with a r9 +12 Psy amongst them. When I complained and said something along the lines of "LOLWTF U SERIOUS?" her response was "you gank too" because some random guy had apparently hit her with a spell once as I was finishing her off. Yeah, a squad full of r9s is a TOTALLY reasonable response to dealing with random guy #3675 being there as a potential threat.

    And every time someone speaks out against it, what's the response? "**** every guild ganks." Yes, but there's a difference. There's a clear difference between, say, if I attack a Dumass and 5-6 Dumass show up to help, and if I'm standing around minding my own god damn business, I get attacked by an Absinthe, and win or lose, I can expect 5-6 more Absinthe to come help. One of those is a guy that probably wants to be left alone calling for backup, the other is a childish PK who doesn't want to accept the consequences of their own actions, so hence they call ridiculous bodyguards, insurance and aces in the hole to help them just in case the fight gets too tough.

    And the result is no one can PK. We sit at west or Silver pool and maybe PK each other for a time, but the moment an Absinthe shows up they go bat-**** insane and call waaaaaaay too many top-geared people and suddenly all the fun is ruined.

    I mean show of hands: how many guilds here actually PK alongside Absinthe regularly? I know Kylin does, but they have that alliance. I sure as hell don't because I find the people I PK against Absinthe with (anyone really) are less likely to thank me by ganking me with r9s than Absinthe is. I also really don't have much of a choice in the matter, since many Absinthe seem to KOS anything that isn't r9 +12.



    Finally, you're literally wanting to have your cake and eat it too. You made this thread and said:

    And now you turn around and say Cata is the one that mass ganks PVP? Nah, doesn't work like that. Mass gank PVP with 5 people is pretty difficult unless none of them ever sleep.



    If you guys truly think Cata are dicks and wanna do something about it, then maybe it's a **** idea to royally **** off the entire server by never letting anyone PK. Chances are they're not gonna help you with that cause if....well if you leave them little choice.

    No Idea how this turned into a cata is better than Absinthe discussion... but on that matter absinthe is a new guild cant expect overnight co ordination to be perfect, and we mainly consist of people who got sick of catas cheap pvp style lol... I understand the animosity I mean it seems a day dosnt go by where your not sitting in sz calling for more back up cause absinthe have killed you. All we do is what you have done for the past year.

    I get that this grouping up pvp ruins peoples pvp, ive been an active pvpr for like two years ( so no idea wtf rocket is on about him not seeing me pk, if pkd with that guy for years -.-) even when absinthe all back me up to kill some gankers, ive said on many occasion i cbf with this groups ****. but all we are simply doing is giving cata a taste of their own medicine... THIS is what i ment by how does everyone have such a back memory... unless you were cool with cata ( im looking at you long buddie) you would have had your fun pvp solo or with a couple freinds completely ruined and overkilled by 5 r9 cata showing up and not even giving you a chance... the bullies are being bullied lately, this is what has changed and this is exactly wtf i mean in this thread.

    It's not a Cata is better than Absinthe discussion, it's a "Catalyst doesn't need superior gear or vast numbers to make them great, so they have earned more respect" vs "Absinthe being a bunch of R9s, with about as much PvP capability as the average chimpanzee, who call an extremely outrageous amount of reinforcements for the most trivial situations and recruit every Sin they can to try to cover their butts in PvP".

    There's a huge difference between what Absinthe is doing now and what Catalyst does/did.

    opinions change, some guilds get favored while some are vilified, but one thing still remains clear: you guys are debating over a game that takes no skill and is 100% cash-shop based and hugely unbalanced.
