I'm just doing a personal research regarding whether gamers have faster reaction speed than average. I personally got 290ms.

    Average after 5: 263.6ms

    Is that good xD? Also, this is a cool site. (I mean cool/legit xD)

    Average: 187.2

    fastest was 86ms

    But I am not really a gamer though...

    average was 222.6
    best one was 196

    But i wonder in how far this test is really accurate. Besides your reaction time, there's also ping between your computer and the server of that website. How much does that play a role?

    Well this is not a remote program but rather a flash program downloaded and saved in your computer's memory. So it is running locally on your computer

    That's an adobe flash app. There is no latency issue because the speed is calculated on your system.

    BTW, I averaged 280 only because I just woke up. I started at about 380ms but got that to 190 on my last click.

    Well for me, my average ping to the website is 232 ms. So no matter how fast my actual reaction time is, I will never score lower than my ping time.

    My average score though is is 274.2, so my reaction time is somewhere around 42 ms.

    The type of mouse you use plays a big role too. A PS/2 connector compared to a USB, wireless compared to wired, or even USB 2.0 compared to USB 3.0.


    In short, if you're using this site as a survey type test, none of the results are actually usable. Too many variables you aren't accounting for.

    EDIT: Just realized it's an adobe flash app. Ping isn't a factor, but your type of mouse still is.

    I got 390 when I was using my wireless mouse, and when I used my track pad and could just twitch my thumb, I got 290. That's a pretty large difference.
