Sin R8 reforge status

Hallo all,

as I am one of the delusional sins trying to reforge R8 peices to attain 5 aps with r9 (or the option of dropping lionheart and staying 4 aps), I was wondering how are fellow sins across servers doing :)

So far i recasted the boots only 4 times (lack of Damascene over here....) and had with no surprise no success for now.

Has anyone gotten interval on boots yet? and what about interval on plate?

Would be nice to keep track of attempts and successes.

    I already have all 3 pieces (body, legs, boots) recasted, but I have yet to be able to reforge them, due to how difficult it is to obtain Damascene ores right now.

    I will definitely let anyone on the sin forums know when I successfully obtain any -int on the boots/chest though. I'm aiming for boots first, because that would allow me to 2nd cast my TT99 bracers and keep the same amount of -int.

    The chest will be extremely hard to get 2x -0.05 though.

    Well sofar i have not seen any LA R8 recast armor with - int on. Althou seen 0.05 x 2 on HA plates for BM so it deffenetly is possible.

    I know Traz is.

    I'm still waiting on Damascenes to become more affordable. So for now I'm just getting my jades and DoT slowly.

    Same issue Skai is having - Finding cheap Damascenes ores...hell just finding them as of late x.x

    I kept the chest for TW/pvp and made another one to get -int on it. Havent suceeded though with another three attempts.

    Err...Gratz on the -chan as well o.o
    If you use r8 & r9 rings with that you'd have -14% chan lol
    Grab the base buff and you'd have -34% o.o

    You can be a fish caster lololol

    Both boots and chest came out on first attempt.
    However 2nd chest is a pain in the a.ss and legs came out with hp, hp recovery and magic.

    you may make fun of channel, but it isn't so bad if doing delta, or tw. It does help to cast earthin rift , powerdash, and takling slash alittle faster. I wouldn't go for it specifically, but wouldn't turn my nose up at it either.

    Congratz on the -int.

    I'm just curious as I havent tried it before and just recently got back (after almost 1yr) to playing a tiny bit due to having some free time..

    By 1st casting the r8 armor, you will lose all the prior adds? Or do you have to 1st cast it, then reforge for stats to change?

    Yup, you lose all of the previous adds. It's just like nirvy forging, only it just goes from r8 to r8 recast.

    So if you have gems in your armor that you want to save, or a refine, you'll have to pay Chienkens when you reforge to keep them. Keep in mind that the r8 recast always comes out in max sockets, unless you keep them 3 or 2 via Chiens, which is a very stupid thing to do, regardless of whatever previous gem you had.

    From there reshaping is just like reforging in Nirvana. You pay a certain amount of mats (Damascene being the hardest to obtain), and you can reroll the adds. Honing is keeping the same adds but rerolling the number associated with them. But some stats won't change, such as -int.

    Thanks for the info skai!

    Wonder if its "cheaper" to actually buy a r8 piece, then 1st recast it and hope to get the stats you want, or to recast it and keep reforging to get the stats you want..

    if only there was an option to sell i.e. r8 recasted sin boots to another sin who has the req level and rep.....you'll probably make enough to do at least a dozen more tries on another pair~
