    "organic" is an FDA classification, usually those using that classification do so right at the limits of using such classification, so they can sell their product for more money, buy selling to people who want the extra bonus of feeling superior to others by virtue of the food they eat, and how they get to feel like they are saving mother earth by eating.

    most mass producers of organic food are also mass producers of non-organic food.

    if you want to know how your food is grown, you have to grow it yourself. otherwise you are just buying labels without knowing what is really going on behind that label. just like nike shoes, shell gasoline, coca cola, and pretty much every other product marketed to consumers.
