PK build?

All bms seem to say Full R9 is the only way to go for pvp, and just ignore barbs. That pisses me off, if I'm gonna pk I want to be able to kill barbs too, why wouldn't a build like this work?

It's got decent survivability, and at 5 aps common very nice DPS.

    No, not enough attack levels. Biggest problem vs R9 anything is the damn attack & defense levels.

    I would argue not enough spike damage is the problem hence why axes (preferably zerk) are recommended for PVP as far as BMs are concerned. You could shard everything with DoTs and still have the same problem against well geared targets trying to bypass charm and go for the kill using claws alone. And our pathetic crit rate doesn't help matters either. b:infuriated

    @FantasyFruit getting interval on the boots is like 0.15% chance, its unrealistic
    @Razi same thing with boots, plus build is only 3.33 common, that's not gonna do **** in pvp
    @Maelael and Hexalot so how does a bm kill a barb -_-

    did u see how high the phy attack was with the build i posted? u dont need 4 aps to kill with tht build since the extra physical attack is almost equivalent to 6 aps lol

    The physical attack may be high but Barbs, Seekers and BMs themselves have very high physical defense as well so you'll find that once the PVP penalty kicks in, your damage doesn't look so hot. You'll definitely be a threat against (non R9) AAs and even some LAs though.

    Sins are able to get away with similar damage in PVP because their dex builds give them a very high crit rate. So basically a typical Sin hitting at 4-5 aps does double damage every 3 hits (and that's not including powerdash). With your build... you are critting a little over 1 in every 5 hits. b:shutup

    Against 40K + HP R9 +12 full JoSD Barbs... you don't. b:surrender

    Against lower geared Barbs, I believe the common formula is...

    purge > stunlock > HF > axe attack while praying for crit (GoF/SS on axe will make things MUCH easier with zerk crit) > if Barb still living, claws for building chi > rinse and repeat.
