G13 vs. G15

Sorry if this have been posted earlier, but I couldn't find it.

I'm running with Barrier Thorns +5 atm, and thinking about saving up to recast them into Dark Death. What I'm wondering about, should I really do that? Barrier is bringing me to 5 aps sparked (3.33 base), but going for Dark will make me loose that 5 aps. I can't afford a tome, so that's not an option. I don't have the money to reforge it XXX times to get 2 x 0,05 int, so I will only go for 1 x 0,05.

So the question is, with my current money, should I go for Dark Death, or stay with the standard G13. All mo other gear are currently at +5 also, except for warsoul of earth, which I have at +6 atm. I can't link my gear set-up right now, so I'm hoping someone can help me without the need to see the rest of my gear.

Ok, that's what I was thinking too. Glad someone could confirm my theory :0) I don't know how much aps I would lose by going from 0,1 to 0,05 on weap, but I thought it was not worth it. That, and I feel I don't have enough HP for the double-dmg-add, and then there is just a small dmg bonus that I'll get. So will prob stick with G13 then.

On the bright side, I suddenly got some extra coins for refining :0P

    Thanks for the input :0)

Although you can farm the 150 raps to recast, there is still opportunity cost. The cost of recasting is that you could sell the raps instead, around 1.5m each on Heaven's Tear. So recasting would cost 225mil, not including rerolls, which you could use towards an interval tome or upgrading your current gear.

Personally, I would stick with the g13s and get an interval tome. After that, I'd consider upgrading to g15s with an interval mod.

I would suggest what Jin said.

Farm up a -int tome first, then farm 2nd cast.

Yeah, stick with G13 if you have any money issues.

And if you cannot afford a tome, you really cannot afford a good G15 either. 225m or so for the weapon itself, plus ~20 rerolls bring the cost to over 400m. Even if you were looking for just the -0.05 and not SS/GoF/20 atk lvls, you'd be looking at an expected 10 rerolls, putting the cost to a bit over that of a Pan Gu, Creator.

You would effectively be wasting your money, since dropping from 5.0 to 4.0 means a loss of 20% DPS, for which you'd need GoF/SS on the weapon to make up with. And then you would have just put about 400m on a weapon that has slightly better DPH than your previous potential, plus better DPH potential, but not necessarily better DPS. Kinda like buying a highly refined R8.

OK, sounds like you all pretty much agree, so I will absolutely be listening :0)

I will save up for better refines, -int tome, and then start farming for G15 (probably in that order).

How much money should I put down into my current daggers, seeing that I could maybe get an G15 in the future? If I refine it from +5 to +10, it will cost me alot of money, which I could have saved for a tome. The thing is, it will be a long time until I can get G15, so maybe I should just refine what I can from the G13. That will probably help me to farm better, or will I spend more money than I'll be able to save from farming faster?

Sorry for lousy writing, english is not my best side :0)

And one more thing, if I dare to write this: Do you have any.... uhm.... suggestions when it comes to..... places/stuff... to farm...? I know I should be doing Nirv for raps, but at this moment, I don't see the big profits from that. I can sell FF though, but with my current gear I use more than an hour on a run... Tried merching, but got into the market to late, so a combination of noob merch skills and broken market, it's not going very vell. I'm HAPPY each time I have more than 30-40m on me :0P

I was in the same situation you are now.

I thought a Pan Gu + G15 Daggers would be impossible for me, but hey i got them now.

Well i really started with farming money to upgrade my g13 to +10, then you can farm way faster.
With +10 Daggers and 5aps you can easy enter the good Nirvana squads in double drop.

I farmed the tome and the daggers that way, running nirvana and tt like mad.
Dont worrie about the refine, you can transfer it. But i would say, stick with +10, not higher.
It costs 178 Chienkung Stones to transfer and its cheaper then re-refine your g15 daggers later.

But be warned, when you have g15 daggers with good adds, better have some HP or u die easy.

I got my daggers to +8 yesterday, so I'm on my way. Will get them to +10 as soon as possible.

Which TT should I go for? I have tried 3-2, but I can only do the first three bosses. When I get to the Twilight Gaurnob, I'm pretty much screwed... Is there any good money for TT3-1?

And regarding the Chienkun stones, is the only way to get them from the cash shop? Haven't checked the prices on them, I just know they are in there...

Thank you soo much for the pointers! Really got me motivated now that I have a clear goal! Just have to figure out the best way to get there :0P

Chienkun are on sale periodically, probably once every 3 months or so
you can always buy in the boutique for 10 for 9 gold, but during sales, its probably half that

    3-1 brings good money actually.
Not as much as TT 3-2 or 3-2 would give with the goldmats within the 10+ mil area, but still good.

For example the 5APS Boss drops mats worth 700k - 1mil on Harshlands (Green Mats, average 1-2 per Boss in double drop)
Or Snakeboss goldmat is worth 3.5mil and drops pretty often i must say
GBA boss is good too, especially the goldmat (5-6mil) and the green mats are good too, but the boss is pretty hard

Just test it out, farm it a bit and you will see b:pleased

Will try to get stones on sale then :0)

And I'll try mu luck on 3-1. The problem I have when I try to farm TT, is that I have no clue what the different drops are worth, and when I look at other cat shops, there are a lot of mats I can't find prices on. But I'll try, and just hope I can find the prices :0)
