Full -chan Psy

Hey guys, I am planing to make a full -chan psy with the r9 wep, but I am not really sure on what gear other than r8 top,tome,cape and nirv pants I should have to have full -chan, I was wondering if you get any +chan add's like you do with the tt99 int...this is my idea anyway, if there is any way to make it better pls feel free to tell me, 'http://pwcalc.com/be8eadc0904761f6' thx b:victory

    I don't know how well a -chan psy build works. If i were you i'd go for survivability. You can speed up channeling (even though your channel is much faster than a wizzy), but you can't take a hit worth **** if all you're worrying about is -chan.

    Get some defense levels in there, and defense acc.

    Just my two cents. :)

    OK lemme break it down for the OP's sake.

    Psy have very short channel time, and longish cast time. Channel time can be affected by -Channel, but Cast time is permanent and immutable. In other words, it's not as effective as it would be on say, a Wiz or a Cleric.

    Now this would be -78% channeling psy, demon sparked zero channeling i guess. Gotta have alot luck and cash tho b:shocked

    As mentioned above.. bit 'meh' of a goal, but to answer your original posting, 2 pieces of TT99 arcane gear give you a -3% channeling reducuction. IE, Archangel belt and boots will give you this.

    My biggest gripe about the R9 soulsphere is the - channeling add. I'd prefer the pure damage that the R8 sphere gives (along with the crit--crit ***** loves her crits).

    Anyways, 2 pieces of TT99 arcane gives -3% channeling bonus (the sleeves give an additional -6%), and if you are willing to give up your pdef (yay for 1k pdef at 101!), then elemental belts.

    lol, with black voodoo and full -chan gear youll have the survivability of a mushroom.

    This, pretty much. Putting -channeling gear on a Psychic is, well... Let's just say it makes about as much sense as a Psychic wearing heavy armor.

    You know, with 50% channeling, you'd save up to 0.8 seconds on your two longest channeling skills. 90% of Psy spells already have less than 1 second channeling.

    Like everyone else is saying, go +Mag and Crit gear if you really want to be a glass cannon Psy.

    No matter what your -channel is, Tide Spirit will take you to -90%. You will not get higher than that.

    Listen to everyone else - dont do what you plan - AND use apothecary pots for channelling bonus if it worries you that much (theres a faction base pot too I think).

    ....pull aggro on a boss somewhere and see how much channelling helps you - ie - not at all......
