I've had just about enough of this.

I waited 8+ hours for the stupid thing to verify cause it kept saying enter game fails, yes I installed the directx 9 thing yes I downloaded the C++ thing and updated everything on my computer and when I get to the screen it does say game update complete, I click start.

It stops for a few minutes and then an error screen with a bunch of jibberish comes up and then an error screen flashes for a second and nothing happens.
I'd like this to be fixed as there were things I wanted to do during this 2x.. but seeing as it is if this isn't fixed pwi will be losing my business, even after the lot of money I've spent playing it.

    i dont know what to do now i install directx 9.0c and that microsoft c tt thing and verified files still sittin at enter game fails i wish someone can fix this i waiting to long to enjoy what ppl r enjoying who can log in

    My boyfriend is sitting here playing on it right now and he had NO problems getting in and I have every thing he has in order to get in.
    STILL not working.

    My client keeps crashing

    I don't get no errors no more. It jsut freezes at the book opening. I hit control alt delete and it says pwi isn't responding. No clue but this is messed up. I'm not reinstalling it. If I uninstall it stays uninstalled. All I have to say. Tech support doesn't know jack about what is going on. Don' tknow if they care or not. I have 1 friend out of 20 who is playing. Rest of us are sitting here. Again I'm glad I have netflix.

    I hve the same exact problem. ive been playing this game for maybe 4 years now and the last year havnt played at all. now i install the game blah blah blah, and the game either freezes at the book opening, or if i click nothing at the begining screen, the entire client just crashes. i tried googling problems and something said something about firewall settings, verifying files, etc etc. so i did this and moved the pwi folder n everything included into firewall exceptions, ran the verifyer maybe 3-4 times and waited close to an hour. and still i have the same exact problems. seeing other people complain about the same thing tells me its not my pc, but must b the update..so uhhhh.. lets get on the ball pwi, ide like to play this again

    Same here... Join the "we can't play since the expansion" club... Game asks for DirectX 9.0c which I already have (my Winodws even keeps it updated automatically and i already checked there are no more updates available for now/re-installing also didn't work) and my mom can play but had to Verify 3 times this week alone due to serious instability issues... b:surrender

    What I'm wondering about anyway... Is this all because of the new world and such or is it as I expect and we all have problems just because the flashy new book login that causes the game to not work/be unstable? If it's the later plz just simplify it so we can at least play normally again...

    Could be like me, I keep getting "Cannot connect to server" when I try to log in. I've been having problem for the last 3 days with PWI. Logging in, lag issues the whole nine yards. Sometimes I wonder the same thing, do the care or not.
