Treasure chest quest

I found this, Jade Shard Scroll while doing the treasure map quest. I'm wondering if anyone
knows where "Sharp Spear" npc is.. I've googled it, and searched the forums but found nothing b:sad

    I've been attempting those quests daily but get about 2 to 3 chests in before the mob decides not to drop anything for me cutting my fun short b:cry how many chests in before you get the item/'s you can trade in for the gear w/ Slaying/Warding levels? (Any extra info about these quests would also be appreciated) Thanks in Advance. b:thanks

    id like to know whats the requirements to do that quest. i have a friend lv100 veno and she cant get it

    I'm wondering if anyone

    The Sharp Spear NPC is the same one as the Treasure Hunter, as in, it's the same NPC. For some reason they've called him that in the description though. So just go to 557, 624 in South Arch and choose the Quest Related option.
    How many chests in before you get the item's you can trade in for the gear w/ Slaying/Warding levels?

    There are 5 maps all together. The last boss drops the item that you can trade at the Treasure Hunter to save up for the necklaces or trade for exp/rep/pages. So far I've only got the Genesis Jade Seal and the Emperor's Bone, so I'm not sure what bosses would drop the other ones needed to make the necklace or if it's just random. Will have to wait and see!

    Guess I've just been unlucky in the drop rate, Which actually really REALLY blows considering its x2........b:cryb:surrender, guess I'll just have to keep trying, Ty for the Info.

    It's very difficult to get to the last map. Me and my boyfriend combined have over 10 characters and only once each on one character have we managed to get the 5th map. So it seems like a very very slim chance to get the whole chain!

    Well the jade scroll gave me the option of 20,000 exp or 20 rep.
    Drops are random, and I got two chests in before the item dropped. And for your last question I have no clue o;

    ive got able to do and even got 2x purple map drops (5th maps)
    but can someone answer to my question if theres any requirement abt those quests?

    The quest also requires 88,888 coins. My mom said she had this same issue on her cleric. For 2 days she didn't have the quest. I don't know why either. But on the third day she was able to get it. I suggested she didn't have enough coin to take the quest but she never elaborated if that was the issue.

    At last day of 2x drops map 4 boss dropped 2 pieces of final map and when i killed that boss it dropped 2 items needed to chrono page each. So one treasure hunt gave me 4 chrono pages. Not bad for 88,888 coins.

    some days ago pw extended the 2x ,but at same time they decresed the dropprate of items from the TreasureHunt bosses.
    before they did, i sometimes dropped 2 maps at one boss, now i did the dayli with my husband and firends every day since 4 days, and we failed at boss nr. 1 with 6 chars.
    we could make it to map 3 once in that whole time, since the rate is nerfed.

    b:cry change it back pwi !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    they also changed requirements from lucid silver npc from lvl 10 to lvl 20 +

    Because I haven't seen it answered, think you just need to be 60+ and have 88,888 coins.

    she asked for 5th map requirement
    answer: to open map 5 you need lvl 100.

    what, no, the drop rate never changed. It's 20% chance of getting Map 2 drop on 1x. Dropping 2 maps at 1 boss especially Map 2, which only occurs during 2x, is 4% chance and 9% chance for other maps.

    it would be great to see if the quest is actually worth the coins xd

    edit: ooh, i think i found it. I was looking the item [http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/33887] (says it will drop 100%) but then tried the mob and it says 20% :)

    Tracking the odds is impossible right now. Mostly because the odds for a chest to spawn a mob aren't stated anywhere.

    The probabilities for a summoned mob to drop a map is all there, though:
    20% for Level 2 map
    15% for Level 3 map
    15% for Level 4 map
    9% for Darksbane: Skylord/Herbmaster/Genesis
    3% for Darksbane: Enlightened

    The difference between Enlightened and the other Darksbanes is that Enlightened drops Lost Soul of the Enlightened whereas the others drop Herbmaster's Amber Eye, Genesis Jade Seal or Ancient Emperor's Bone.

    During regular drops maybe.

    During 2x, it's very profitable. Me and a friend duo'ed it within the 2x week and both of us profited almost 40m coins from selling Chrono Pages.

    depending on your level seems to depend which sharp spear is active. at L90 i couldnt get anything from SS in arch, but then in 1k saw the yellow shield.
    first time i got drop on 1st map then 2nd got to map 3 then 3rd i got nothing from map1.
    still it is kinda fun and bosses are interesting so i will keep doing it.
    really want the helblaze necklace if i do it everyday then maybe by september LOLb:laugh
