[URGENT]"Descent" Client unstable.

Well I got the new PWI:Descent Expansion finally installed and was happily playing for the next dozen or so hours when disaster struck. :(

I tried teleporting to Etherblade from one of the Archosaur Teleporters, and the moment I clicked on the green dot on the teleport map, the client hung, and a few seconds later, terminated.

I restarted the client and tried accessing my Psy(76), but after clicking on the Psy and clicking on "Start", the client terminates 1/3rds of the orange bar through: it always terminates.

This happens ONLY for my Psy. I can access all my other chars on the server without any problem. I'm assuming it's got something to do with the initial termination when I tried teleporting, but that doesn't help me regain my char.

Can some GM please help me out on this?
I'd really like to play me psy again and I'm pretty sure it's some bug related to my Psy's position on the map(teleporting between Archo and Etherblade).

    On the launcher click the "Graphics" button and turn all your graphics down if you have any turned up and also turn your resolution down to the lowest settings. That should fix the problem with logging in. Once you have logged in move away from the glitchy area and then you can turn them back up.

    Guess I'll try that! :o

    Thing is, as far as I remember, it hung after I initiated the tele. So I'm stuck in an extra-dimensional non-PWI space. :p

    On a serious note, okay, that sounds sensible. :) I'm verifying the client for any glitched or corrupted files so that'll be done soon and I'll try the graphics trick. :)

    Okay Update:

    I'm trying to start my Psy with min graphics and resolution. Client's hung but not terminated. :o

    Guess I'll just keep it on for the next hour or so.

    It's taking up 1.2GB RAM though, doesn't usually do that.

    It took time BUT I LOGGED ON FROM MY PSY! :D

    BE AWARE:

    The client is STILL extremely unstable. The thing hangs and terminates even if you alter the graphics nominally.

    I'll just be playing at basic graphics for the safety of it. :o

    Okay a bit of retrying has led to me the conclusion:

    Teleporting from Archosaur to Etherblade can and will **** up the client.

    Which Archo tele master you're using has no effect so I'm assuming the Etherblade tele area is somehow glitched.

    I've been teleporting there most of the day and I haven't had that problem.

    I can typically tele to Ether without problems, and we're on the same server. This is an odd problem, to say the least, since it's only for you and only on your psy. O_o

    In my opinion I think the reason your having the problem in the first place is because of the lag. I've been having problems all day logging in and being disconnected. I'm getting disconnected every 2-3 mins. Lag is really bad, due to how many people are on one server and the server wasn't built for a whole bunch of people.
