While ungodly overpowered in the right conditions, its not as game breaking as it is made out to be. With the amount of attack levels and soul force you'd need to transfer a high amount of damage to the boss, most sins with high APS could just down the boss in a similar time frame by auto attacking instead.

Surpassing a million damage would require a combination of high attack levels, high soul force, the level 100 version of the skill, full debuffs, and a crit if you lack any of the above. The level 100 version can reflect 60% at most so that means 1.2 mil/4 = 300k raw damage. Add in amps and you get 300k *(HF) *(Sage subsea) *(Sage amp) ~ 1.2 mil again. Add in attack levels + crit + wolf emblem and the numbers are much higher even with the magic defense of the boss reducing it.

However, while the squad is waiting for the perfect moment to stack the boss with debuffs to inflict this epic damage, that amount could of already been done by just debuffing then APSing it right away. I don't really see sins switching out their spark macros anytime soon.

Kind of interesting. People with +10 weapons should already have 150k raw dps anyway so doing 400k at once is just a few seconds worth of damage. Probably the setup makes it too much trouble unless the sin has low dps.

Can death link damage crit or zerk? Did anyone test how attack levels affect things?

I'm just not seeing six sins without godly refines one shotting any of the 2-x bosses with this skill. I already did quite a bit of testing involving the hands a few weeks ago here: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=16164401&postcount=10 With a 15% reflect and 65 attack levels, I only managed to deal 320k to a 2-2 solo mode runewolf. Divide by four for level reduction and its not even 80k damage to the boss. Sure, you can get ~40% more damage with pixie piercers but it still wouldn't add up to 2+ mil hp even with six sins. I'm not saying it isn't useful but it seems to be better suited for pvp. A damage reduction that hurts your target at the same time can be useful even at 15% and would be insane at 60% in pvp but that reduction would prove very useful in pve as well.

I think yes, but then they saw how much money it's bringing to them so they let it be.

And glitch is something what is working but dev. didn't mean to work that way.

Will see how will dev. react.

Definitely not a glitch. It's doing exactly what the skill description says it will do.
Channels 15% to 35% of damage received,
depending on your Soulforce, to your target.

You can't take more dmg than what would kill you. If your HP is 7k and you get hit for 50k: you're only taking 7k dmg.
And not an exploit either, until Frankie comes along and says otherwise.

Frankie's response has nothing to do with whether it's an exploit or not.
Not like anyone will take him seriously if they impose a ban threat though b:chuckle

-All that really needs to be said, and it's not like this is game breaking:
I'm just not seeing six sins without godly refines one shotting any of the 2-x bosses with this skill.

-Or 6 sins bothering to go through this process instead of just killing out right. -Maybe some of the more difficult 3-x bosses.

Uh, of course you can take more damage than would kill you. If you couldn't take more damage than would kill you, we would never see people getting hit for more than their max hp. Your hp has NOTHING to do with how much damage you take.

We don't see a sin with 7k hp getting never getting hit for more than 7k dmg now, do we. Your statement is just plain wrong.

At 50%, I can see this skill being useful; at its current power, its just for laughs mostly.

Is it a glitch? No, it doesn't seem to me.
Is it game-breaking? Not even close...not even sure if is worth the trouble at all actually.

But is this an exploit? Most definitely yes.

I am not saying we should all be honest and pure, but a victimless crime is still a crime so at least accept what you are doing and have the courtesy not to defend something that obviously represents a programing omission.

I really don't care who is doing it and who is not (since the gain doesn't seem too be unbalanced anyway), but it is a matter of principle.

There shouldn't even be bosses. You should be able to teleport in and all the mats you need should be piled up so you can take as many as you want. b:pleased

How about replace every single farming instance in the game with a Casino instance, where you can play various slot machines: TT slots for TT mats, Nirvana slots for Nirvana mats, FCC slots for FCC mats, Lunar slots for Lunar mats? Of course, each slot machine would require a different amount of coinage to play and would have the same level requirements and drop rates as the others. The TT slow machines would be split into 6 different machines according to the act and difficulty and the Nirvana slots would consume a key to play.

Of course, during 2x drops, you would get to do two spins of the slot machine for the price of one.

Should also consider adding a "DQ Lounge" where there would be DQ slot machines according to the level brackets. And you could exchange a certain quantity of DQs for a ticket to play a special DQ slot machine, called Dragon Order Machine, where you'd have a chance to get Copper, Silver and Gold Dragon Orders.

Also, when you play in a squad, you get the same drops but the fee is shared amongst squad members. When playing Nirvana slots in squad, you get 6 spins of the slot for 6 keys.

Sounds legit for a game like PWI.

Forgot FC slot machine that is always broken and spaws a 1 million goonz and kill them for the slot machine users instead of giving mats.

And Nirvana too. For some instant million coins.

Or, since gambling is bad, they should just make every single instance into a "chance box" that you can buy from an NPC in such a Lounge. And of course, if anyone gets something good, like a red TT mat, Rapture Crystal, Uncanny Crystal, they should have Duke announce it.

I betcha they're going to come up with a new way to sell Jade of Steady Defense through cash shop since they're currently one of the most expensive items in-game... Kinda like how they released Script of Fate after Scroll of Tome, but different. b:avoid

How about adding JoSD into a pack at a similar odds? Like 0.005% or so?

Or adding a "High Level Gem Box" which has a 98% chance to give you 1 Mirage, with the 2% split evenly across JoSD, DoD, DoT, Primeval and Savant?

Well, those packs could probably sell well at about 50 silver each, since the expected value is somewhere around 800k. Heck, they'd probably sell well at a price of like 1-2 Gold each, considering how people are buying packs.

Great, now it's not going to be just "link weapon/have 5aps/+10-12 gears/etc", now its going to be "sins must have +12/5aps/death link".
