In-game Issues

Okay, so ever since I installed Descent for Perfect World I've been having a very bothersome in-game issue. When the log in screen pops up, I can't see the book that opens or the camels in the background like I've seen from my sister's computer. On the character selection page I can't see any of my characters, even on other servers. When I log in, I can't see my character, other players, NPCs, or monsters. This makes it very difficult to click them because I can only see their names. The only thing I can see of myself and others is the glow or weapons or armor and wings; things of that sort.

I've tried everything from redownloading the game, verifying patches, in-game options, downloading Direct x 9.0 and things of that kind. I've even contacted the help service but everything they suggested I tried and it didn't change anything. I've downloaded Forsaken World and even installed one of their patches and I still didn't have the same problem so it must be Perfect World. I really hope someone can finally help me, I've tried everything and I'm at my wit's end with this.
