Perfect World now needs DirectX 9.0c

many people are quitting because they don't know how to download or where to find direct x. well after searching a trying different websites i finally found one.

it is very simple -download components, run setup and Perfect World will work again...yaaaaaa.

    Eh, if people really aren't smart enough to get that conclusion, they probably shouldn't be playing this game anyway.

    When I had an error upon installing the patch in my laptop, I just went to search the forums to see if anyone knows a solution. Besides that, the client gave me a notice that I don't have directx 9.0c.

    If those both hadn't happened, I'd just have picked up that error message and ran it through google. Pretty sure I would have gotten there too.

    Doesn't take more than common sense imo...

    Don't worry, DX 9.0c doesn't replace 11.0 one, it just updates the 9.0c libraries and coexists with Direct X 11.0

    really...it was that hard to find? Try Yahoo or Google search for DX9 and I'm sure within the first few matches one will be direct from Microsoft (where you SHOULD download it from to begin with!!). It's not rocket science.

    edit: Don't hate me. I'm just one of those who went to google and found dx9.0c to download when my client said **** to me, I fixed my problem and didn't need to create a thread here. I know you trying to help stupid people who can't even **** by themselves :|

    I for one am forced to quit because my game says it needs DirectX 9.0c and my pc and it's DxDiag say that I have DirectX 9.0c... Downloading it over and over again doesn't help... b:surrender

    Also a big fan of Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Star Ocean, "Tales of" games, Ys, Zelda, Pokemon & Anime...

    My dxdiag used to say "DirectX Version: DirectX 11", now it's still 11, but now the game works.
    I downloaded 9.0c and it updated some routines and created the DLL the game requires to run now.

    You're so lucky... I tried re-downloading and stuff but just like the 1st time DirectX 9.0c is there but the game is too stupid to find it... I hope they'll make a patch for this issue soon... Although knowing PWE even if they plan to do so it would take 'm 6-8 weeks...

    And I'm not planning to do something stupid as risking my Windows for a game either... I'm not the one who installed this pc and the store won't be pleased if I break it by doing something stupid...

    I had to delete the game a few months ago and now, I downloaded it again to play, but I really have a big problem...since the new update and stuff, I downloaded it again, installed it but it still doesn't work... I mean.. it opens, I see the first window .. then the updates page and then, when it should appear the log in box, the book appears, opens a bit but stops and thats all b:cryb:sad it's just blocking.. can't do anything else and nothing else appears b:sad i re-downloaded the game, re-installed the game.. also my PC says i have DirectX 9.0c, i also downloaded it from Microsoft and it's still not working! It's just blocking b:sad

    Please help, I really wanna play it again and I don't know what to do anymoreb:surrender

    *hands you a large supply of milk and cookies while waiting* I'm in the same boat here... But unfortunately it might take a while before PWE will acknowledge it's somehow a fault it their end... Yet alone fix it which will take around another 6-8 weeks... b:surrender

    i have installed DirectX a few times and damn right it is hard to get from microsoft.
    end up with about ten end user agreaments, or a file which it doesnt tell you where to put, you have to guess.
    I have done it a few times and it is still a struggle.

    I'm quite certain the person you're responding to appreciates the response after a year and a half of... not actually having an issue.
