Well, quite a lot has changed so if you could be more specific that would help tons. Once you specify some things then I'd be happy to answer, but if I tried to list everything that has changed I'd be here for... a while b:chuckle

There was a map reset a couple weeks ago. Before the reset, Vicious had the most lands; QQme's in decline.

Elder's Blessing event is a sometimes thing, started after the Genesis expansion introduced the Earthborn.

um....basics might be nice to relearn. what's really the difference between venomancer and mystic

Venomancer has to tame their pets, have to grind to level their pets, can customize their skills, and generally have low mana use skills.

Mystics learn skills to get their summons, which are summoned at the mystic's level. The summons' skills are fixed, and the mystic's skills are generally high mana usage. Highlight is that the mystic can heal themselves and others, and give a rez buff (no need to have a cleric revive, if you die before the buff wears off.)

of blademaster and Seeker. more things might come up as I think over the weekend.

Blademaster has 4 weapon specialization skill trees (axe/hammer, pole, sword, fist/claw) and except for very few short range ranged skills is always fighting in melee range. All skills do physical damage.

Seeker can only use the sword, and has a number of fairly long ranged skills. Some skills do physical damage, some metal damage.

Both have numerous AOEs (seekers have a particularly powerful constant AOE that's a real mana sink.)

Running a full verify is different then the verify you get when it first starts up to make sure you have the right patch update.

Yes -- everything is timed now.

Honestly, there's a lot to explain if you want to know everything that's new in a year. (I would know, I just recently came back from about a year-long break as well.) My advice would be to get ingame and simply start playing. This really helps you get accustomed to the roles the earthguard play in parties (since I'm assuming you either left right before them or right after them).
