whoa the exact same thing happened to me today.
my computer did a restore repair and now it says my version is too low but its fully updated. no one will answer my thread though =b i re-downloaded the patch manually and that proved that its updated, my computer didnt delete that. and so i tried verifying again but ive been waiting all day and its nowhere near done.
i dont know if itll help or anything but i wont be able to play til maybe a day or so cause its so freaking slow b:angry i'm sorry

well you just to have to launch the patch, and that is it, it should be among the documents where your game is, I had the same problem, you just have to update it, I hope, I was of help, bye.

nope the fix is this, system restore buggers underlying windows info but not the programs patch criteria, go into this file and change the number to the last patch #. then when it looks it sees client out of date correctly and applies the update , just open in Notepad and change the number. fixed me right up ty again, and sorry for the necro, but i thought it relevant.

Oh yeah and for the tard who said verify files, sure that'll work but you can download and reinstall from scratch in half the time it takes to run Verify, it is a completely useless function and never use it unless you don't want to play again for about 2 days
