Some Gear Advice Please lvl100

Hi- I am level 100 pure vit build playing PVE. Can I get some ideas on best way to go with gear? TT99, Morai G15, Nirvana, Rank 8? thanks so much

OP: Nirvana G15 gear is the best gear from that list, but quite expensive. r8 will also satisfy any pve needs you may have.

R8 plate and pants, with legendary mdef ornies like Demon Slaughter or OHT belt. Personally it drives me nuts seeing barbs use things like phys ornies or Cape of Elite Leather when we already have so much pdef that it doesn't make a difference. Nothing like seeing a barb with 20k hp get hit for 12k from a bosses magic attack.

building on Saku's post, the Swindler's Necklace is really nice for barbs. 5% hp and mag def.

I would offer further advice, but I am still debating my options on my barb. Further input will be provided after he hits 95.

(Unrelated but I got Sage Flesh Ream and Feral Regen for 10mil today).

Here's a fairly modest build using TT99 gears. This is basically just my Barb's future gear on your build (or something close to it). :P Whereas my barb has a bit more dex in his build and uses some sapphires along with the citrines, he still gets 16k from this gear set, while you would get 18k.

TT99 is a great set on its own and has the potential for a Nirvana upgrade if you're so inclined. I don't think anyone can really comment on g15 Morai in-practice, since no one can obtain it just yet. :P

I wouldn't get R8 though. But that's personal preference due to reasons that aren't entirely relevant to this thread. XD

Hmm, ok.

Understand, first of all, that your current gears are just fine for endgame PVE. Don't let anyone tell you that you "need" any particular gears (like R8).

What I notice about that build is that you're a bit deficient in your Str. What you have is fine for the FF axe but it's going to really limit your choices if you decide to get another wep (maybe TT99 or the like). In most cases I would suggest swapping out the Sky Demon's for a Swindler's Necklace, but you clearly need the Str it gives.

That doesn't mean we can't play around a little, though. Try this version of your build.. All I changed was:
Sky Demon's Pearl -> Swindler's Necklace
Story of the Blockade -> Tome of Iron Will
Helm of Aqua Vic -> Lunar Helm (with your same refine and shards)
Engraved one of the rings with +6 Str

Obviously you can play around with it and get Str from other areas. Equip a different ring, or engrave both with +6-7 Str instead of just one so you can use a different helm or your pure vit tome, etc. etc... there's definitely wiggle-room there. But this is just one example of a build which lets you keep your 20k HP (actually, this version has about 200 HP on your current build) and still have enough Str for a standard 99-100 weapon.

In case you're wondering, Lunar Helm is a reasonably affordable piece as long as you're willing to be patient and buy the Purgatol Documents when you see them (try during 2x, people find them more often).

I have full nirvana armor and for me is great is not expensive as r9... but I think is a great armor...

Let me give an advice if you are going nirvana armor get the LG nirvana since the TT nirvana armor works with your ornaments what I mean by these if you have bad ornaments and rings your gear sucks and LG nirvana does not need that kind of thing...

What I have are

TT nirvana armor second recast all gear +6
Cube and warsong m.def +6
lunar rings +5
Coa Ring + 6

My weapon is ashura purgatory +5 atm since I want to recast it.

I went TT 99 Arms and Legs

R8 Armor / Weapon

TT99 Belt n Neck and OTH 4th belt ( for tanking)

I am a pure vit tank Sage barb :-)

on a side note the armor looks hideous if you don't have flash.

This +1.

Put serious thought into mdef. If you are only PvE, legendary orns/belt will do. If you are going PvP or TW, you'll need to augment with Mdef shards.

I'm goin' with G15 from Morai...it's WAY cheaper than anything else and I don't PvP. The defense compares to G15 Nirvy, with a good deal of warding lvls.

If your barb is a claw build then you'll need aps gear (TT99/Nirvy). So I guess it really depends on the type of barb you play.

-has a lot of bonus vitality/hp
most like to have only 2 sockets when crafted
-Can be upgradable to TT-Nirvana
-relatively cheap: 11mil to 25mil per piece
-can be farmed if u get help (gold mats rarely drops but can be bought with mysterious chips)

(ii)Lunar Gold 95
-has same p-def/m-def as TT99
-no set bonus
-Upgradable to LG-Nirvana
-does not bind: can be sold
-expensive: cost 30mil per piece
-hard to farm: people dont usually farm that instance

(iii)R8
-come with a very good weapon
-better p-def/m-def than tt99
-always come with 3 or 4 socket
-can be upgrade to recast r8
-expensive to get all the reputation: around 70 gold (around 100mil -depending on server)
-reputation can hardly be 'farmed'

(iv)Nirvana's
-comparable p-def/m-def with R8
-Great set bonuses: 5 Attack lvl (2 piece), 10+3 def-lvl (5th and 6th piece)
--0.05 interval on leggings
-come with 3 sockets most of the time (80% chance)
-can choose between TT-Nirvana or LG-Nirvana
-very expensive (100/250 cannies per piece - 30mil/75mil minimum per piece + heavy additional cost from the TT99 or LG Gold 95)
-can be farmed easily (but it takes a long while - a few cannies can be farmed per run - can be hard to get squad without aps)

(v) R8 recast
-great set bonus: 1200 hp, 3%crit,
-always 4 sockets
-better p-def/m-def than nirvana
-random stats (can be really good, can be really bad, depends on luck and number of recast)
-can be expensive (75mil for 1st forge, 35mil per subsequent recast - depends on server)
-can be farmed (with a good, very active faction - can take month(s) to farm even with daily runs in trials)

(vi) G15 Morai
-has potential to be better than everything else (except r9 maybe)
-pve set bonus: 5 warding lvl (3 piece), 5slaying lvl (4), -0.05 interval (5 piece)
-not good for pvp
-come with 3 or 4 socket
-cheap (in terms of coins): 5mil to 7mil per piece
-it will take months to farm all the prestige/influence required (around 11 days per piece, 5 pieces = 2months+ minimum)

my advice if u want to get the G15 morai: aim for at least 3 pieces (to get the extra 5 warding lvl set bonus) and use some high p-def/m-def from r8/r8 recast/nirvana to complement the lack of defence on the morai gears.

Who would ever go R8 on barb if it wasnt for PvP? I have never liked my R8 armors too much and with Morai gear I dont see any point paying 72g for... What exactly? The lvl 95 morai gear is comparable with R8 on PvE, least on lower refines, which is quite funny I have to admit. But as the OP seemingly focus on PvE I see no point in aiming for anything but G15 morai gear as the inferior(+free) version is just as good as R8 for his gaming.
