  Try reading the genie skill description...
  
  right click your genie's face > click on afinity > click on skill inquiry.... find the skill and read its description.

  It paralyzes someone for 1secondish so if they're kiting away from you, you can stun/sleep them. Keep the skill at lvl 1 if you're getting it.
