Coming back after long hiatus

Hey PWIans, I have been gone from PW for roughly three years. Super super long time and so much has expanded and changed since I last played. But after some thought, I was wondering if it's even worth continuing my old cleric or if I should just start a new character.

Certainly the way people play clerics now is different than how they were played before, and considering how I'm not very caught up with all these changes, I'm afraid people are going to ragequit at me. b:surrender Do you suppose I can get myself up to speed, or am I just better off on a fresh start?

How long do you think it would take to get from 1-61 now? (Assuming you have no experienced friends to help and no guild to run FB all the time)

    The main difference playstyle wise is it seems people are ignoring questing and more worried about levleing to 100 / 101 fast as they can. 1-61 will take you an hour with one of the leveling service people you will see in wc.

    People still level up the old fashion way, but it is becomming harder to find squads to do so.

    I'm like you--I played awhile ago, got to level 81 as a cleric on Harshlands, got bored and quit. I just came back about middle of January this year.

    I started over in a PVE server (Raging Tide) as a cleric again and i'm glad I did. PW has definitely changed alot since those days--for instance, remember back then a level 100 was rare? Nowadays, there's way more. I definitely suggest you start over in any server PVP or PVE depening on what you like--maybe try a different server or class? If not, start cleric again. If you play on RT, i'd give you a hand and i'll help you with some of the changes (some, because i'm still not completely sure of everything eitherb:victory)

    In RT, I managed to raise my cleric to level 66 with no guild (I was guildless back then too, and don't ever plan on joining a guild--I get alot of **** for this lol) all quests done and FB's and non instance bosses weren't exactly easy to find a squad for without a guild, but not very hard either. It's hard to believe, but nice people stilll play this game. No matter what class you start with, you can usually find help if you're willing to ask/look for it.

    An hour? Leveling service? Is it...legal? o_o How does that even work?

    Yeah. I would expect as an older game there would be way more max levels. I'm thinking of trying a different class since I've done mage, cleric, and veno. Perhaps BM or Mystic...still undecided.
