Gear For A Poor Lv80-89 Mystic?

The first and foremost fact you should know is that I'M NOT RICH. I do NOT have millions in my inventory and I can NOT buy Gold. That implies that I'm POOR.

So, having noted that, my query is what is the best gear a Lv80-90 Mystic can get without having to burn holes in his pockets? ESPECIALLY, which is the best Cape?

I've heard about the Calm Wraith Robe and really wanted to get it, but I kept failing the WGTMs. My Mystic has been put on hold off of levelling for well over a week now (he's Lv79 and somewhere at 91%) so that I can still attempt WGTMs (coz one has to be Lv60-Lv80 to get medals).

But I'm tired of waiting for that and now want to know about any alternatives. The whole appeal of Calm Wraith Robe was it's cheapness. So if I cannot get that, what else is there which is that cheap?

And now, putting that aside, can someone recommend the best Quest Reward gear for a Mystic of my level? I used to be using Robe Of The Serpent Chief Lord or something similar until I saved up enough money for Snow Dance Robe. My Leggings, Wristies, Boots, Necklace Belt and Cap are seriously outdated.

Okay, now that you understand my predicament, reply QUICK please.

If Calm Wraith Robe is not worth waiting for, I wanna make use of the x2EXP period and do some FF. That way I can reach the level I would've reached had I not waited. x2 lasts only for TWO more days!

Or if I'm to get the Calm Robe, I have to do 8 WGTM runs and then squeeze in some FF.

So PLEASE, answer SOOOON! b:begb:cryb:beg

On the Cape.. TM69.. Are you trying to do this yourself? Or with a squad of same level people?.. Or are you doing it with people advertising TM69. It has to be done with at least 2 lvl 100+ people. Most advertise it for 1m per run with 8 runs and they guarantee success or your money back. If your doing it with people who advertise and it keeps failing... then they are a pretty fail TM69 squad. Other wise going for the TT80 stuff should suffice.. Its all farm-able in TT..

A Lv101BM buddy of mine has been helping me with the runs. It's not so much 'failing' as it is finding trouble getting another Lv100+ player to help. And he's doing it for free btw. Otherwise I would've never even considered it. I'm lucky I have such a friend, I know.

And yes, I know about the advertised WGTM runs. I never paid them much attention because the price is absolutely ridiculous. To me anyway. I'm sure Sins or some other rich classes don't mind -.-

Also, what exactly is the TT80 Cape available to a Mystic?

EDIT: I just remembered all Capes are available to every class. So I rephrase my question to: Which is the TT80 Cape?

I use Cape of Elite Leather. Its pretty good with my Anger of Beasts Soul Belt for PDef.

They serve their purpose well and both the cape & the belt are farmable, or you can pick them up pretty cheap from the Auctioneer.

The TM capes are awesome if you get the chance to farm them before you level, or have a lower leveled char to do it for you while you use it in account stash.

    o.o

    Uhm.

    I'm Lv79. Close to Lv80.

Cape of Elite Leather's required Level is 96.

Anger of the Beast Soul Belt's required Level is 95.

    So...thanks for the info?

And yes, I know the TM capes are awesome.

Also, I don't have another Lv60+ char on the same account :(
But that was an interesting point. I didn't think of using Account Stash.

Imo any good 3star phy def ornaments work.

For a robe I'd go with ☆Steppenwolf Lord's Robe or TT80. Also for boots and pants, get some TT80 or a decent 3 star with nice adds.
Sleeves I'd keep ☆Sleeves of Sea Captain. The channeling is pretty nice.

If I was you I wouldn't worry too much about an epic cape. Yes, the wraithgate cape is very nice if you can afford it. But it's not a must. And tbh, you're a class that needs good defense and hp to survive, so I'd drop that wraithgate cape at 90 for a lunar one or the Elite Leather cape.

O.O OH MY GOD. YOU PEOPLE ARE AMAZING! You're like Angels! You're awesome-er than 3 Chuck Norrises put together!

    --=--

@Eoria: I cannot believe you went to the trouble of listing a great set of gear from Hats to Pants!

"...just grab cheap three star ones from AH with HP/pdef/vit..." I am going to do this.

And yes, I'm beginning to think I should skip the WGTM Cape too.

@Xainou: ☆Sleeves of Sea Captain I think I have that mold! I'm not sure but I sure will check!

"...I'd drop that wraithgate cape at 90 for a lunar one or the Elite Leather cape..." Yeah, I'm thinking of skipping the WGTM Cape.

    --=--

I will check just one more time if I can do the WGTM runs before x2 EXP ends and if I can't, I am going to say 'Duck it. Duck that cape. Duck WGTM. Duck everything.' and get something else.

Thanks for the great replies! I'm really indebted to both of you!

In my opinion I wouldn't get TT80 gear apart from the weapon, TT70 gear is ok to use until level 90 and then is made into the TT90 green stuff which is farmable and a really good set... which leads onto the TT99 gold equipment but I'm getting a bit ahead of myself :P

    Haha, OP you're welcome :)

And I'll agree with Melvin here. If you should get TT80 depends on how fast you level. if you're going slow, I'd say it's worth it. But if you're going fast with hypers, some good 3 star or even mold armor will do the job just fine.

I'm going to be very different and suggest something else completely.

You mentioned that you're poor, but you're a mystic and you've got excellent farming ability.

First. Are you able to leave your computer on overnight, when you're away, at school etc?

Second, use your mystic to farm. It is 2x now, and will continue to be for the next few days. Go farm dragon quest items from monsters and sell it in your catshop. (which brings me to point 1). Yes, you can NPC those items, but players buy it for so much more.

Also, if you find things like fungus, ginseng fruit (would be good too), venos would want them. There are lesser venos now but demand is still there.

Once you make a couple of million, you can start gearing yourself. TT80 is a good option. Start with weapon (better heals from higher magic atk), which allows you to farm better for the rest of your armor.

Continue farming, for a good period of time. Once you've built some liquidity in game. You can start merchanting. I've attached WarrenWolfy's merchanting guide for your perusal.

    http://pwinsider.wordpress.com/2011/03/06/warrenwolfys-guide-to-merchanting-part-0/

I hope this helps. I was broke when I had my first character when PW FIRST launched, so I understand how you feel. Trust me, a cape isn't your concern now. Your weapon and basic armor is. Once that is settled and you have more financial power to merchant, you can get Calm Robe: Lunar which is like 65 mil. My friend did it, so can you.

    Good luck!

As others have said, if you're leveling fast, then its best to save for TT90, its better in the long run. I don't really have anything else to add. Everyone else already beat me to it. Lol.
