Game not starting

hey all i just installed pwi on my desktop computer an up dated it an everything... But when i p[en launcher an hit the start button nothing happens.. the button will gryey out for a few minits then get highlighted back again.... Can some one help me with this problem i have read a few post where they get message about a dll file but am not getting any error message at all

    Try deleting it and re-installing it to your pc.

    <_< Before you go through crazy measures like with the above post, try using the Verify button on the Launcher. It's possible you're getting the "Enter Game Fail" at the very bottom of the launcher, it doesn't come up as a pop up and can be sort of hard to notice at first. Just verify, and see if that works.

    If not, try updating your Microsoft C++ using the link below.
    3. After installing, the client will not open PWI; says "Enter game failed"
    Thanks to skydiver for giving a possible fix, installing Visual C++ will apparently fix it, the link can be found here

    The same thing happened to me and I had to update my visual cc+ language. Before you reinstall like I did which takes hours download this and install it. It fixed mine right away. http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5555

    Thank you guys for the replies i already downloaded an update the C++ i will check out the verify button an see ow it goes

    Well i sdid the verify thing an it still says enter game fails

    Yea am still on windows xp but i thoink it service ack 3 will have a look nwo
