Are the people who make this game going to do something to fix the DirectX error things? I cant fix them myself (im a techno-idiot... i know nothing) about it. I cant re-install DirectX i keep getting a message that says: A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!?!??!?! AM I JUST NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY?!?!?!?!?
or would re-installing the whole game fix my problem?

    Update your Microsoft C++ runtimes. Also make sure you have XP SP3 and other associated Windows updates.

    as stated above, im an idiot with technology... so i dont understand ANYTHING you just said... nor would i know how to get to ANYTHING in those area.. things <<...

    ohh wow! More useless info that i cant understand -_-... i've been there 500 times and it doesnt help that they give links, which have no info on any of the issues im facing... so that didnt help -_-...

    Would reinstalling the game fix this issue? i will if i have to, but only if it Will fix this...

    Google Microsoft C++ runtimes update.

    Google XP SP3 updates.

    Read the first two things that pop up that are from microsoft support.

    post again if you have more questions after you did those two things.

    In a word, no. If you have a problem with DirectX, that is an issue with Windows, not the game. Can I suggest you look to the Microsoft website for a DirectX download.

    If you have problems with the damn Direct X, update it installing this http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35
    If it shows an error when you try to install run it as adminintrator (Left click on the installer and select ''Run as administrator'' or something like that)
    Restart your pc after install it

    If after that you have problems reinstall pwi patches
    Patch 606-612
    Patch 580-612
    Just download them and doble click, they will do the update (again maybe will be good run it as administrator)
    If still doesnt work, try updating windows (control panel>windows update>update)
    Hope will be fixed with this b:sad

    thank you for trying... but this isnt helping, when i try and run the Direct X update. i get the error for cabinet files (see first post >.<) I cant get it to install, the earlier told me to look 2 pages, looked at the first one. there was a download (didnt do anything) the second page i'm looking at but i dont know what to look for (there is like 30 links...) so im sorry.. im just going to wait for awhile and hope Perfect World does something to fix this error (then ill re install the game..)

    Cabinet error is caused mostly for a corrupted dll on windows (dll = a necesary file for windows)
    A quick google shows how to fix it here

    I have Vista. Couldnt update DirectX because I kept getting a "H KEY..." error.

    Went to Microsoft and used their "Windows Registry Repair", then I was able to update the regular DirectX. Problem solved, got in the game!

    P.S. The .dll issue went away too!

    Im not the least bit Tech savvy either, so if I figured it out, practically anyone can. :)

    thank you for helping me!!! ok, it didnt work, i tried the manuel typing in things (regsvr32 /u softpub.dll, regsvr32 /u wintrust.dll, etc.) it had errors for wintrust.dll and the next one (regsvr32 /u initpki.dll) and i dont know what to do. they had error codes so ill look those up later. thank you for your help!!!! (also the method 1 didnt fix it.. bah..)

    i have to have a floppy drive... thing... O.o... my laptop doesnt even take those...
