first off, i know it's based on my wand and magic attack but no matter how much mag i have, it never seems to increase. and ive been putting all my attribute points in magic for the past few lvls.

so my question is can dexterity or strength increase it? since it is ranged and does physical damage

and please only answer if u know for sure or have done it and noticed a change

yes, it is ranged...but if you think about it, all magic attacks are
there's really nothing I can compare the "physical attack" part to save an archer's magic attacks, which are all based off dex

anyways: you may not notice an increase because attribute points are very marginal; you will not feel the effects right away unless you dump in like 200 points all at once, but mag does help Plume Shot
it may seem worse on Plume Shot than say, Great Cyclone because Plume Shot, though not terribly weak, is not by any means a cleric's strongest attack

if you really want a solid proof get yourself a reset note, though it's really not worth it
attack something with no points in magic...then stat all your points into mag and try again

Regarding stats, although plume shot does physical damage, DO NOT ADD DEX to stregthen it. Don't add stregnth for the purpose of increasing its power either. It is still a MAGIC attack, so add magic points to your stats to make your magic attacks...including plume shot more powerful. (Same applies to razor feathers when you get it soon.)

For stat allocation, or other questions, I covered a great deal of it in the guide that I wrote, and other clerics have touched on this as well in their other guides.

Not to come across as rude, but don't be afraid to refer to them. They are written and there to help you.

Also, as others have said, visit the cleric trainer in plume city if you have not done so already. Your power and range will be increased even further as you continue to learn from her the more that your level progresses.

I think Jeremied is right in hinting that perhaps you are basing this off a low-level plumeshot. Level 1 Plumeshot hits physical damage equal to your base magic attack plus 55% of weapon damage plus a static modifier. Also, keep in mind the mobs you hit. If you really want to note a difference, you can make a level 1 cleric and PS without a weapon. Then, bump it to level 5 or so (simple quests in the starter area, shouldn't take any time at all), stat the points, and try again on the same mob. You should note the difference and it should be proportional to your attribute increase (granted, it won't be much). Like DuckTapez said, it is a straightforward, marginal increment per point.

for me, the damage differences that are actually noticable are when i get a new wand and if the mob has a defense buff

make a new cleric character and attack a mob
then attack the same mob with your main cleric without any weapon
    Oh, you'll see the differenceb:victory
