prestige is what is required to have before you can purchase the more expensive influence things. Must have prestige to access high-influence priced things.

if u go to the npcs that allow you to buy things with influence, hover ur mouse over the tabs, in order to be allowed to buy an item with influence. you first need to have equal to or more prestige then the tab says. as an example the first tab on the cheaper of the 2 npcs you need 40 prestige before you are allowed to buy any of the books that tab offers

as for the second part of your question. it is obvious that the first part shows your influence and prestige for the various orders. the second part (which u were probably asking about) those are the items that are recommended for you to buy. i'm not sure what it is based on. i assume it has to do with how much influence u have. it doesn't seem to have much to do with items you could actually use, because i am a barb but it recommends arcane armor for me, and sadly i am not a bowbarian D:

So 54 days to get onto T2 to be able to buy the books, also 23 days for the influence to buy them, then there's the gear...lol, happy grinding/waiting everyone.

    Seriously?
This is exactly what people have cried for, for a long time. Something you must do quests for, take time to get and earn. Some gears and skills that are not (yet) cashshop ready and everywhere the first day with incredible ease.

Heaven forbid you actually gotta invest ~30 minutes a day into getting a new skills. Sheesh.
