Is it worth it to get R8 for my veno? It is my main toon and i just got to lv99. I like to solo so -chan is important for the faster heals. So should i spend my coins on rep or trying the long process of getting nirvana.

    I'd go with the r8. It's cheaper than nirvana and the damage from the weapon is just <3.

    The patake itself might not have channeling on it but it hits hard as hell. And with a decent gear setup you should have no problems at all with channeling.

    Was doubting myself a few months ago wether its worth it or not, but now that I have R8 I'm very happy with my decision b:cute

    I put off getting r8 for the longest time but then the other day I decided to just go for it.
    I used my leftover money to get some mirages/tienkangs and refined everything to +6 and threw some shards from my bank in it.

    For starters, the weapon is absolutely WONDERFUL. At +6 it already easily outdamages my old +10 neon purgatory and both the weapon and pants give a great boost to your physical defense. (Which has become really amazing in PVP). I already have a nirvana top so I chose to keep that instead of going for the r8 top. If you are however aiming for a full -cast build then the top gives an excellent -6%. (I personally am not stacking up -chan and am opting towards the highest HP and defense possible).

    The ring is also awesome.
    I definitely would say go for it. The weap also matches almost ANY fashion, which is great.

    Agreed to the posters above me. I couldn't be any happier with my Rank 8 at the moment. Definitely worth it. However, I will start farming some Nirvana gear next 2x event because the Nirvana gear is of higher grade. I'm keeping the weapon though!

    It may be a pataka, which I dislike, but I love the rank 8 one.

    id advice the following:

    r8: weap, breast, pants
    nirv: boots, wrists (maybe helmet) for set bonus
    helmet : warsoul heavon/ nirvana depends on the above
    belt: heart of the jungle void or warsong belt (jungle is cheap and refines well)
    neck: cube neck ofc, if to expensive get a TT gold pdef neck and decent refines

    thats the gear u should get for short to play your veno as its meant to played theese days.

    Yep, rank gear is awesome. Get it as soon as possible, you won't regret it. Use the ring, chestpiece, weapon and pants (you can switch out the pants with 2nd caste nirvana if you want channelling, but r8 pants for venos are way better than other arcane classes due to an pdef boost instead of +MP or +MP recovery)

    Rank gear is great for all casters . Most believe that for veno , it doesnt worth it cause it gives no channeling (from weapon) but fail to understand that the particular pataka is an exception to all others. Its power is truly scary for a lvl 100 weapon. Definitly go for it

    Unless you're stacking channeling don't use the rank 8 top because it kind of sucks. (Unless, of course you don't have anything better)

    Rank 8 top is still better than most tops at that level though. It's only surpassed by the obvious Nirvana/Rank9 etc.

    u maybe keep an eye on recast r8 breast and pants for r8 recast
