This Is The Worst Patch Ever !!

WTF is going on with this damn patch, ive done all the updates both automatically and manually, it says GAME 612, My direct X is more upto date than the link you provided and all i get when i start the App is


ENTER GAME FAILS ( appears below the " website " button )

WTF ??!?!??
This is a seriously major mess up on ur behalf and would REALLY like to get back on game ASAP.

Any solutions ( bar a complete reinstall ) to ur problems would be greatly appreciated

    Verify, verify, verify. If you read the other 15 QQ threads saying the same thing you would of gotten your answer.

    tried verify hun.. didnt work. restarted installation last night.

    Well at least you tried verifying first before dealing with the huge d/l of the outdated client. Seems like PWI doesnt even know what is going on with the issues everyone is having either. I used the manual download link that some one gave on the forum and it worked fine with me. Only think I could think of is maybe its the user's OS but I hardly doubt that is the issue.

    guys, frankie put in a link to both the patch manually and to the directx download. i suggest tryin the microsoft directx download.

    IF you guys got a message bout the directx 9.0c at the start, close off the pwi start screen, and proceed to download it. its more of an update for the directx and it'll get ya into pw soon after its finished.

    PS: i did the directx download and i was able to get on easily.

    Even that is not working right either. Someone posted the ticket they sent in and the response. Basically restart your computer, reinstall Dx with out starting PW, and restart again. If nothing else be patient and maybe TS can help you.

    It happen the same to me. Verify and you will be fine, just take as long as the install did

    lol the problem is that the patch is udating and verifying at the same time if you notice verfying takes alot longr alone......then add updating a big patch with a new world and spells and gears and weps and monsters and npc's will kinda take a while just wait or let it sit over night and play its not really that bad.......its made to go long cause of the verifying

    FYI ,,after doing the AUTO update IT failed !! so i ran Verify ...oo low and behold guess what ..FAILED !! So downloaded manual Patch, installed ..FAILED !! ran verify AGIAN,, ooo guess what ..F.K.N FAIL..

    any other bright idea's ?

    Try pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the task manager and see if you have any copies of the old PWI client running in the background. It's kind of annoyingly common for windows 7.

    Anyways, thats what kept a few of us from getting in and when we closed out all copies of the game it worked fine. Hope this helps.

    Lol i downloaded and installed patch hours before servers were down and up from maint b:victory

    Btw i had directx11 but i had visual glitches, you gotta "update" that by dowloading from the link frankie posted, or this one http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35

    If you keep getting game failed when you click the start button try this. Worked perfectly once i got it.

    Downloaded patch during 15 minutes yesterday manually (as always).

    Installed patch during few minutes.

    Had not any problems.

    I agree the patch is fail though lol
    WTB PWI 2008 where people were thinking more about doing good rather than pretending to be.

    Didn't even have any troubles with mine either, only needed a new tower that has an updated version of some of the problems that are resolved, however not very many computers have either " DirectX. " or other programs.

    But hey most of us got the game to work however O.o they should of at least gave a earlier heads up on the problem instead of giving us a frustrating issue, >_> I mean out of honesty the games does look dead completely since the upgrade started.

    Least thats what I seem to see in the in game, I mean if you guys think about it, how many people left the game? and how many there is currently? and how many are still leaveing? XD not out of rage or QQing or which you guys call it, I mean look at the status on the players of how many left, and currently that are online.

    i had no problem installing.so its you op.only problem is im having is that i have no blessing on my bm for 2x!!! rage!
