FB69 and cleric (nob and pole)

As a cleric, I personally hate FB/BH69 dual boss, nob and pole.
Their aoe and debuff is problematic as I need to constantly check tank for debuff and party heal when aoe hits. Not to mention when there's agro stealer.
When doing wined BH69 with a barb I can focus IH+puri on him (but ultra slow kill). But add another dd or two, it became more complicated.
I need tip from the rest of cleric here on how to deal with nob/pole since I have BH69 now.

"FB69: This area is a pain. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU WINE THIS DUNGEON IF YOU DON'T NEED THE 20x3. 1 boss is magic based. 2 of them have AOE's , and 2 have debuffs.
Unwined: Be prepared to BB a lot, and to spend a lot of time in here.
Wined: Its easier, and you can get around mobs here.
Bosses:
Pyro: Magic based boss. He uses fire element to attack with. Nothing special. Heal mechanics.
Damned Gaurnob (Nob): He has 2 AOE's, and a debuff that curses like Wyvern's. Basically, he's similiar to wyvern, but more powerful.
Cennques Polearm (Pole): I hate this piece of excrement. He also has 2 AOE's, hits harder, and will debuff the tank's magic and physical defense to 0. PURIFY MUST BE LEVELED HERE, AS WELL AS CHB. If your IH IS NOT LEVELED, GO SMACK YOURSELF NOW. You'll need a barb here. He hits hard and their insane hp will save them. Other classes can, but its a lot easier with a barb...and a second healer to AOE heal as you IH the tank. Yes, he's that much of a pain to deal with. Btw, you can tell when he'll debuff by flames circling by his feet.
Regarding the minibosses, use heal mechanics. Congrats, now thats done.
Here is a video of fb69. It is cleared, so no mobs, but it will give you an idea of what you are dealing with. Also, he took the long way to pyro. There is a quicker way, but once you run it, there won’t be much of a problem.

You think healing them on a cleric is tough? Try tanking them on a cleric. T_T Lol. Didn't turn out well for me, but I was the last hope. Lol."Male Player using female toon. Please don't flirt with me."

Thx for the tip, somehow I missed the info on the FB69 one.
One question remains, If I'm the single healer, and one squad member dies and asking for rev, should I rev him or just focus on tank.
Sometimes during rev, nob/pole decided to debuff the tank and eat it, and if I didn't rev the poor guy, he will bashed me all the way.0 -
if someone dies make sure the tank has enough IH to last. rezzing after purify is usually good cos boss usually dont debuff right after he debuff already. just make sure squad comunicate well with each other. just ask who's going to be the main tank first. once squad is in comunication with one another it shoudl b easy. noone will try to steal agro then.0

OMFG, really? I can't believe they made a boss I can't just spam heal on! b:cryBe kind: Help the GMs to depopulate the servers.0

Wait to rez them until immediately after you purify the next debuff. He won't do it again for a least a few seconds. If the boss is just about dead, attempt a rez with just an ih stack based off the tanks abilities. If you know the tank won't be able to handle it, ask the squad to stop attacking so that person gets credit too. Then rez them after purifying the debuff.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Just keep track of the circles around their feet. As for pole the fire one.
This probably depends on your cast and how -ct you have.
But what I do is watch for the fire circle. When it's channeled a bit and he's about to debuff I hit purify. While counting IH 3-4 times then wait about 1 sec for fire circle and hit purify again. This way it purify almost instantly and usually before the tank can even take a hit. Just don't be to fast and purify before the actual debuff. For his aoe you can fit in 1 CHB and 1-2 IH on tank before he do his fire circle again. And ye. xD I hit purify everytime he does his fire circle. Better safe than sorry. b:surrender I over worry otherwise and it works magic if you have a squishy 8x sin tanking. b:chuckle As for ressing I would just do it right after a purify. Possibly while using a -ct pill. Then just IH til circle appear.0 -
It's not that hard...
I solo healed that before there was aps or BH and I was a craptastic cleric then (and still am now).Proving that not only archers do math since 2009. b:victory

I did pole and Nob on cleric at lvl 72 with Blademaster tank. (had Pyro culti , was on BH 69 squad). Wasnt hard at all , squad knew what they were doing . Fortunately my Purify was maxed and Chromatic was high lvl.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I remember when I did my fb69 I was the only Cleric in squad, and I had never been there before,so I asked squad to get a second Cleric. They got kinda annoyed at me....they did get a second cleric in the end.<-- Signature Space -->

I got fuced up the last time I tried to tank on Ash, I could prob do it now though x.x
And in a nutshell the key to pole and nob is to make it clear to the party the only person getting individual heals is the tank. Cast CHB when they aoe, purify tank when he's debuffed. and only use IH/SoR on tank when hes tanking and not debuffed. Make it very clear that if any of the sins/apsers steal agro that they're on their own, cuz you need to ensure the tank stays alive. That's how I did it...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

If you have an aggro stealer that can't tank, let them die and wait till near the end to rez them. No point in rezzing them right away so they can try and rip aggro again and die.
I believe its pole that has the really hard physical aoe that is especially taxing on many DDs but its a smaller aoe. They both have a larger ranged magic aoe, too. Guarnob has a weaker but larger ranged physical aoe. So stay at max range of your chromatic with other arcanes. Know the limit of your chromatic and angle yourself or ask dds to stay on this side of the boss. Typically there will be a debuff after about 8 seconds, 3 attacks, then aoe after about 8 seconds, 3 attacks... A good barb that can cancel these makes this easy-peasy but in case you don't have one...
As people mentioned, watching for the debuff channeling is excellent. For pole you can do it as soon as you see the poleaxe and that works fine. Don't bother waiting for the debuff to appear in your icon list, actually watch for it.
I know clerics that have healed with with a macro. I duel cliented it with my 80 barb and 77 cleric with an chromatic, IH, IH, IH macro and would just swap screens for purify then restart macro.
IH heals for 15 seconds, so if you can get 3 IHs on a barb they're healed while you channel chromatic, purify, or rez. Biggest thing is be quick on the purify.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -
Just did nob and pole with a squad of a barb, two psy and two sin, basically an agro stealer squad. Its quite nasty as nearly all the squad member steals agro and got debuffed, even with the psy help with the healing. Manage to spam IH, CHB and puri to nearly the entire member.
On thing for sure, 4 stacked IH means nothing if u died in one or two hits.Heaven Tear

They are really easy to solo heal.
Stay max range, heal your tank, purify when needed.
Tell the range people to stay max range near you, so you can throw an aoe heal from time to time.
That's about it.
It becomes a challenge if the tank has like 5k hp. You have to purify the debuff before the boss hits the tank.0 -
This instance is really daunting for clerics who aren't sure of themselves or their ability. I solo healed my cleric's fb69. I counted myself fortunate that I had done bh69 before on my venomancer, so I was aware of what the bosses did by the time my cleric got to the range.
The one skill I'm not seeing anyone mention at all is Stream of Rejuvenation. I can't understand how so many people think that skill is useless. On the rare occasion someone would die in my squad, I'd cast that on the tank and toss a res onto the dead person.
Chromatic Healing Beam and Ironheart Blessing are both incredibly necessary. Purify is a must on Pole and sometimes on Nob (depending on the tank).
If, as the cleric, you have low hp (not a shocker if you do), another skill to keep in mind: Plumeshell. Nob and Pole have physical aoe's, so the less damage you take, the less likely you are to die. A living cleric means a living, (hopefully) happy squad.0 -
If Pole or Nob are almost dead and someone dies from an aoe, tell the group to stop attacking and have the barb take the boss for a "walk" around the pool of water. You should be able to rez the person by the time the barb has done a lap.0

polearm is definitely a piece of work his physical aoe can and will 1 hit most robe users. ive been hit for 4.5k by it and luckily barb buffed i was probably just over 4.5 during my range there. keep plume shell active at all times during polearm, and try and stay out of range during the cooldowns
any cleric who says they solo healed these bosses in the low 70s for their fb years back is just flat out lying, or got very lucky. back year ago flawless shards were pretty much never used due to high price so most people had average or beautiful shards in their gear, and the game was alot less about having uber gear to be successful. the only explanation i can possibly see for a 70-75 cleric solo healing back then without dying was they were light armor builds which have basically died out.
the healing part isnt that big of a deal and purify really isnt required at max level, i had my purify at 5 until 90 or so and i think the tank died once during all my bh's and it was because the squad itself got wiped because idiot assassins stealing aggro and dying and just overall chaos.
drop an ironheart every 5 seconds or so and purify as quickly as you can and any half decent barb will be fine these days. the only challenge is keeping plume shell up as much as possible to avoid being 1 shotted by his aoe (ive seen bad lv 90-100 clerics die 1 shot to his aoe) and a bad lv 100 cleric is still alot stronger than a good lv 80 cleric
a big thing that helps is a game plan. game plan game plan game plan, take control of the squad and tell them how its going to be, and youll have no problems. if some monkey psychic decides to dd in black voodoo and dies 1 shot, let them sit there. they do not deserve credit for this kill. same applies to a monkey assassin who sparks for increased damage knowing hes going to grab aggro.. punish them, its within your power to do so and in my opinion your job as well.
also grab an omalleys blessing from the facebook connect thing and use it always during guarnob and pole. its a good idea to have both anyway and this is a place where it really shines. those 15 def levels can easily be the difference between a charm tick and a death0 -
b:surrender Don't worry, I'm sure every cleric hates FB69. I got dragged in there as a solo healer when I was only 65 so I could learn the ropes with a tank I was comfortable with, and I think that helped me be more confident in my abilities to solo heal when others tank now. I plan on running some of the other clerics I know through this method, because the nervousness is part of the reason 69 seems so daunting.
I still get tunnel vision on pole though, and only stare at the tank's hud for any debuff and use chromatic when I hear the chime of aoe.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

i dont think nob and pole are as annoying as bh 51 when you are lvl 60-70, healing that instance was harder i think when you and all your squads are lvls 60-70. channeling gear is hard to get during 60-70. and was expensive way back when i was that lvl. and many players were just starting and some barb/bm didnt know how to aoe and hold agro back then x.x' so much frustration in bh 51 than in bh 69 i think.0

I was fortunate to have a 100 cleric run me through my first FB69. She told me everything about the bosses, mobs and whatnot. after that i solo healed it np. Even had a squishy lvl 80 sin tank Nob and pole...shows what a little advice can do.0
-
first time I was in 69, a 80 cleric came whit us, I learn looking at her. After that I did heal fb 69 here and there but it was stress full until lv 80 were my healing skill got better.
The priority in 69 is the tank and you. Have hp pot ready, shield etc, any thing that can help you recover while your healing the tank.
Res is slow cast so like every one suggested, have the tank ready if hes attentive he should use turtle while you cast rez. DO NOT listen to people saying. rez me rez me. Keep the tank alive and rez then when you can. If there to noob to time there rez correctly they deserve to go in a new team. But still try to rez them before the boss dies, just to be a nice player.
Over time you will find that looking at the boss, for those axe and circles, help a lot. And then 69 won't be to much a problem for you.
On the Soloing note. It's doable on a 101 cleric to solo 69. I have done it, it took me a few attempt. Whit my gear it takes a lot of everything I have, apo defense, all my shields, cloud eruption. i need the barb buff or the event pill. Both red and white pills, maybe a tidal wafer would be better. Any way, you have to be care full, the biggest problem I had was to time my purify and healing. On the 1st runs I was trying to much to do damage and kill it fast. But I cool down and if I have to IH 3 times before doing 1 cyclone, then it's what I do. Still whit all that, it happens I do mistake and I get killed. So far it 50/50 wins vs both pole and nob.
Edit: I had no charm every time I tried this, but if your charm, it will help specially when you use Plume shield[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
