What the hell does this mean? b:angry

a) All FF skills nerfed forever.

b) All FF skills usable in Human Form.

This is what I think. Someone please explain before I go on a raging rampage! b:bye

    It means that there was some kind of exploit that allowed venos to use their human skills and fox form and without specifying what it was, they fixed it. Not a nerf...

    now im mad.....first they give clerics absolutely useless new skills....and now venos (a kind of cousin of the cleric as i think of them) are getting shafted even worse....

    time will only tell what other classes got nerfed (more like afew mins by my guessing)

    I'll have to log on to my veno and check it out, but I've never seen any exploit to allow human only forms of spells to be used in fox form.

    Spell that did work in fox form and human form were:
    Heal pet
    rez pet
    tame pet
    Soul transfusion

    I might of missed one, but those are the only ones I can think off

    Perhaps Soul Transfusion was a glitch? because you could use the mp/hp restoring skills in fox form and I always considered transfusion as similar to those.

    But I'll check out my veno and see what's different.

    I just hope they don't take away my sage amp b:shocked

    The way i interpret that is you can't glitch and shot a skill well your switching to FF like before when you casted/ switched really quick. Maybe. It does say "Spell" and i don't count pet heal or all as a spell really.. Guess once my patcher loads i'll have to test it out myself.

    LONG AS PURGE AND FF MYRAID AND AMP AND ALL still work all's well in veno land x3

    Gameplay Fixes
    The Psychic's "Ancestor: Sol" 3-piece set bonus now correctly grants 1,500 Soulforce.
    Venomancers may no longer (under certain conditions) cast spells while in their animal form.
    Fixed a bug where players were able to enable Caster Nirvana multiple times a day.
    The Faction Base Guardian Trials may now be initiated by the Faction's Marshals, save for Trial 6

    I played my Veno most of the day yesterday and noticed zero difference in how the skills worked ... sooo, it must have been some type of way of using skills that I have never heard of or tried before =) All in all, everything is kosher in the land of venos!

    I'm sorry I wasn't entirely clear on those notes. Venomancers haven't been nerfed. We simply fixed a glitch that allowed Venomancers to cast humanoid-form-required spells while in Fox form. No normal spells under fox form has been changed afaik.

    I'm sorry if you feel that way. I came in here to give a definite clarification of a contentious issue that the playerbase was not knowledgeable about. I would think that's the very definition of giving a "definite answer" about info that we're more knowledgeable about than the playerbase is.

    let me quote the part that my post was aimed at specifically. there's still lovely forum bugs that haven't been fixed too, and I'm doing tech support for a client at home as well as posting.

    In my honest opinion, shouldn't you guys know everything that goes into and out of your own game? I know when I code/fix something I know exactly what I'm adding and taking away.

    it just seems like more often than not we are telling you guys what's in patches, and things that should be in the notes are not. a single instance that sticks out was when all the skill trainers were jumbled around for a few patches. but there was nothing in the notes about it.

    and how about this addition in this patch:

    all timed items not have a yellow box around them, making them easier to tell apart from the others.

    Looks to me that genotypist was trying to preemptively reduce the rage if it turns out during TW that something got slightly broken with veno skills. We all know that TW is where all of the PvP stuff really gets tested and they simply lack the resources to properly test TW internally (at least I'd hope that they don't pay people to spend all week strategizing...).

    So chill a bit, and let our dear admin use a bit of weaseling. It's far less than frankie uses, after all. b:chuckle

    Thanks for the clarification there. All this time I've been trying to figure out what the hell the OP meant. Never did experience that bug on my veno, woulda been kinda neat using lending hands from fox form though =P

    Oh I'm not denying or attacking geno. Just pointing out something I don't think ANY GM realizes when dealing with the player-base. My intentions were not hostile, I think however they came out that way.

    so let me take this moment to say this:

    IMO

    Has I haven't run in the problem on my own veno. I think this kind of information is best to stay hidden. Has player probably found a way like door **** to use veno skill. Keeping the bad knowledge to the DEV and a limited player base will reduce the possible development of further cheat or ****.

    If there was a problem and it was fix, then TY, I wish my cleric skill got fix sometimes to :3

    I don't *think* so, but foxes with anything other than magic weapons (or paws) is clearly an exploit and may well have been addressed.

    Edit:
    Don't think so because claw-welding foxes can't use either fox OR humanoid skills.

    I see no real need or benefit to disclose a glitch or **** most were unaware of that has been fixed. To do otherwise would just add more confusion to an already corrected issue. People are naturally curious but at this point it's completely irrelevent considering that we see no difference in gameplay.

    I have, quite a few times, somehow managed to cast amp while in human form. Usually amp will be off cooldown, and I'll hit amp then foxform, and my char will go back into human form while the amp animation appears around her feet. Quite weird, and quite hard to intentionally pull off D:

    means you get the same traits as a barb. The had that 'nerf' your talking about....from way before... limited skills while in beast mode.
