Channelling needs a nerf too

Okay so now all the squishies are happy, APS has been nerfed a bit b:victory
Now, to compensate all the millions of coins and/or days the APSers spent on getting their gear together, I think we should nerf channelling too.
Why would casters, that kill people from wayyy over there with really hax damage, would have the advantage of hitting like a train without the downside of having APS people fisting them to death ?
Now even for PvE it would be good : no more aggro stealing from barbs to psychics !
It's for your own good, casters ! b:pleased

Okay, first of all, if you have to compare channeling to APS, compare it to APSing a bow. My sage archer is 5.0 with deicides but only 1 aps with the same gear + r8 bow. In order to get good channeling, aside from the speed increase you get from being demon (looks at apsers) you have to have 50+ -channeling in order to achieve anything fairly noticeable. Adding to that, we have cast time, which cannot be reduced. Our channeling is also capped at 90%, so even if i do a .2 second channel gush (like hell, I don't have any channeling, rofl) I still have a 1 second cast time, meaning that I'm still nerfed on what I can dish out. I also have limited chi intake because of this. We also have a chance to be interrupted. Do you want to be interrupted and have your macros completely stop? There is such a thing as too much channelling yes. The result of it however for most casters is that skills bug out sometimes and interrupt for no apparent reason due to the fact that the channelling speed has become so fast by comparison to it's basic speed, it thinks instead there was an action or event that interrupted it. Instead it interrupts the current skill being channelled and move to the next one on que.Ad Astra Per Aspera0

wow this is ridicule tread, here is why, even if a caster class has 100% channel, they still have casting time on there skill of around 1 sec. Compared to a sin that can be in a constant 3 spark and constant 5 APS, Magic class can't get that much chi whiteout using exterior skill. Of the 5 Magic class, only 3 can now deal whit the sin stealth, Channel is the only kind of survival they can hope for. BUT Having channel gear usually means really low P def.
Take a sin or BM to 4 aps, whit decent refine, let say fighting an = caster whit gear about the same value. all in all considering most skill, let say the sin still manage to pull out 2500 damage per hit, that makes it 10k damage in 1 sec. The time a R9 class whit 20K + hp has to stun him or pop a shield. Yet 1 more sec of damage and the magic class is dead or almost dead. While the sin heals at the same times it hit, Magic class don't. And the reaction time needed for a magic player is a lot lower then any APS class. Any use of the wrong skill = death, while APS only have to hit the fight button and eat crabs...
Not every caster in this game have over 10k HP. I would say even that 90% of the casters in this game can only survive most physical class for a few sec. Channel becomes very important in balancing the power. Not only it is important, but it also give every one a chance to do something before dieing.
High channel in a caster is MADE to keep you away from him.
Also unlike int gear, that can reach 5 APS by making NV,lunar or R9 gear. The channel side is limited to 6% gear. All 9% and +12% gear have to be made out of pure luck, ( except for sage weapon beamhoof that has -10% and cost around 70 mil to farm badges)
Also before the expansion, I don't know if they modified this, when a caster used skill that put his channel over 100% it was reduce to 75% or close. While physical class didn't get penalty for going over 5 APS.
All in all I think you know very little about this game, and only wanted to vent some frustration about losing a major advantage u had. While we caster have been venting or disappointment for over 3 years. I learn to deal whit it, unfortunately.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

No no, he's got the right idea! Let them modify -channeling in such a way that a caster can get 4/5 spells per second, then give us a 5% damage nerf for anything over 4 spells per second. Done and done! b:victory[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

If casters have all damage add from all skills removed and only deal base damage, then you can talk about how casters have cast time and blah blah blah. As of now that is not the case, so stop complaining.
A 0.2s chan gush with cast time is 1.2s, while your archer's attack takes 1s, seems pretty OK to me considering a gush hits a lot harder than an archer's normal attack.Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

Healin while hitting ?? are you kidding me .. have you ever played a sin ? Bloodpaint is USELESS in PVP .... and why is it whenever aps is mentioned y'all jump all over sins cutting us down .. most bms i see are 5 aps as well .. and a goood chunk of barbs now ...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
ok for aps nurf it's kinda nothing P 5%isn't gonna really make ahuge difference however the 20% accurancy reduction is nice vs r9 archers who get 7-8k evasion self buffed .... so it's not such a bad nurf
ok for mages who thing they r safe from sins /bms (aps) first of all a bm can tele stun u now ur buff works once every 25secs so it's gonna save u once or twice max with bm tele stun it's kinda as if the buff didn't exist :P
for sins in stealth u aps the mage he's gonna jump u tele stun at same sec he's gonna expel/ad u can break the expel easy and for ad if u have demon tele stun he's gonna die 2 :P
for r9 sins just put chill and throtcut mage is 1 shot xd if he survives just 3 spark knife throw :P
for channel yep it's not quite fair compared 2 aps BUT r9 mages deal pretty mutch 10k+ a hit now if u wanna hit 5 times a sec dear mages u'd kill a r9 barb in a sec :P channel is kinda same effect as aps if u comapre domage pvp wise and for farming u got caster nirvy no need 2 complain +u own in tws gvs so it's pretty cool^^
the only guys who lost a lot in this expansion r sins ... they kinda gave alot of anti-sin skills here it's gonna be annoying a sin can't stealth properly and r9 archers stealthing that's a joke they already got range so now we're gonna be taking 12ks from stealth :P funny xd yay at skill balance0 -

Seriously though, 5 APS BMs/Barbs are cream puffs compared to Sins with similar attack rate/refines. The disclaimer for this claim being that it's just my opinion and just in my experience.
Just to reiterate things that have been said before:
Full R9 JoSD
92 def levels
10k pdef
12k HP unbuffed
Over 1 million survival index fully buffed
Still take so much damage so fast from high refine Nirvy/5APS Sins, the game thinks I've taken more damage than I have HP and I die without a charm tick like it was a one shot even though no individual attack is ever over 2.5k.
5APS BMs/Barbs are far easier to handle than 5APS Sins, sorry. Not ripping into Sins, just stating facts here.b:bye
I'd say a 5 APS Sin is on the same difficulty level as a full R9 BM/Barb. My experience may differ from others though so there's probably more to it.

thats a whole nother matter entirely...used eye of observation on an r9,lvl 104 sin recently..turns out i have around 6k more magic defense than he does
so judging based off that,,,ye it would hurt to get hit by tempest,that wizard dragon thingy...or other magic stuff0 -

I've hit for 40k damage on a level 70 Sin and they didn't die because of Deaden Nerves.
I've cast 3 sparked > White Tea > Tempest on a Sin with Focused Mind for a whopping 1 damage crit.
We can't one shot what we can't see.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

a sins attackis higher then a bm for 1 simple reason .. to compensate for low power skills ... sin skills are just pale copies of bm skills .. hell we dont even have an aoe stun like every other class .. our skills also have an insanely high cooldown on them when compared to a bm .. so the higher attack power is an attempt to "even things" out a bit ... so sins have stealth .. big woop .. y'all get detect pots , so we have higher base dfamage then bms .. there are Dew of Herb and other pots ... fact is . if you TRUELY know how to pvp ... then your survival rate would actually be based on cooldowns ... not aps[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

It would be okay with me too except that I was using that as an analogy to equate how we are on par with bow archers damage wise but not 5.0 apsers in PvE. Our added damage does not add enough to equal us out in PvE thus making it difficult to get into instances that aren't RB or Caster. 5.0's build chi way too fast to allow us to compete with them.
