Most suitable class for a newcomer to play solo?

Hello. First of all I would like to apologize for my lousy English.
Before jumping into the topic's matter let me please make a brief introduction about myself: despite being a newcomer to Perfect World I've played plenty of MMOs on the past 10 years. I've spent the last 3 years playing WoW until I got tired of it, and now I'm looking for some fresh air at Perfect Word.
That said, I was wondering if you guys could you please give me some advice on which class would be best suited to play untwinked / without gear for a newcomer?
I do enjoy playing with both melee and magic classes and I rather stay away from ranged classes (so no Archer for me).
I know for sure that on some games sometimes melee classes are easier to start with, on some others is the other way around. I've read some forum guides but still not sure which route should I follow.
Also, is advisable to make one character from grinding equip / money for my main character, or this would be a waste of time?
In the time being, I made a Wizard, a Cleric and a Seeker, and I'm slowing testing all of them.
I would really appreciate any feedback and / or suggestions.
Thanks!
Rafael
PS: Then again, sorry for my English. Feel free to point out my errors if you wish. Thanks.

I would say that the easiest class to solo with through the game is a Veno. They've got a built in tank (tamable pets), which means they take little damage and therefore, low cost to play as well, even without twink gear. pretty good first class, even though they aren't near the most power.
a mystic would also work acceptably, but tend to be Mana hungry. they can also heal acceptably, which is nice.
clerics can be good due to good heals, but the massive array of needed skills is expensive in low-mid levels.
The most solo-able melee I would have to say is a Blademaster, followed shortly by seeker.
as for a grinding char, it depends. if you use a good farming/grinding class as a main (veno/BM are best IMO, but YMMV), there is no need to make another for the purpose. I do know people, however, that have leveled a "farming alt" to and past their "main"--the char the like to play most--solely in order to make money for the main, who don't really like playing the farmer for fun.Things said during a Twizted faction PK session:
Slayer_of_Souls: you guys are such suck ups. none of you have attacked twid.
Twiddzly(fac leader): no, sere killed me already.
Slayer_of_Souls: he's out there waiting for us, isn't he. i'm gonna die.

Why are you not mentioning the super OP class that can practically solo anything? b:surrender0 -
Easiest to play without worrying too much about gear is a venomancer (pet takes majority of hits.) They're also the most economical (hardly ever need significant repairs, or to use pots beyond mob drops once they're 40+), but do have some unique expenses (pet skill upgrades, for example.) You also have to be OK with grinding, since pets need experience to level. They're no longer in much demand in squads (until endgame, when fast squads want 1 veno in Nirvana) but are excellent solo from level 1.
Another class to consider is blademaster. Excellent for grinding on melee mobs, but you do need to keep your armor up to date, and if you do eventually gear up, one of the classes that dominates PVE endgame. They also (unlike seekers) don't have to worry much about magic mobs until they reach level 20 and join the other races in Archosaur. Why are you not mentioning the super OP class that can practically solo anything?
Because said OP class needs OP gear before it can solo anything, and he wanted to know a class that didn't need to be twinked out?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

At low/mid levels they solo stuff about as well as a wizard.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Worse, I'd say; wizards (at least, ones who know how to kite) don't get hit as often as low-mid level sins.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Alright i'll give you guys that lol..
Yeah for low - mid game i'd suggest veno, barb, bm and then seeker in that order. b:victory0 -

xD yeah, sins need gear to solo well at upper levels, and do poorly at low-mid. low defenses/hp, but not allowed to kite b:shocked
I would have to disagree with you on barb, as well. Barbs are tough, yes, but they suffer badly from lack of kill power. They take a lot of damage, and have high repair costs, on TOP of taking forever to kill mobs. This makes them undesirable for the OP's goal.Things said during a Twizted faction PK session:

Since you mentioned Wizard-Cleric-Seeker I'd say Seeker sounds the easier of em for new class but honestly I would pick a Cleric which isn't that bad at solo questing(Also solo well mini bosses),and later its required pretty much till endgame.
Cleric its also the cheapest to grind with,it doesn't need Hp pots(He uses more Mp pots, but a single Mp pot usage means 3-4 Hp pots worth of heals),and if you grind on Poisonus Mobs(Cleric's most easy mobs),you won't even have armor repairs. The only way to beat a troll is....to troll him back b:angry0 -
Thank you all for your replies. I will stick with the Cleric for a while and I'll how it goes.
Much appreciated!Sorry for my lousy English. Feel free to point out my errors.0 -
Cleric is 2nd or 3rd cheapest to grind with (those MP pots add up faster than pure water for veno, or ammo for archers.)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

After lvl 79, we don't need any mp food or pot...
And whoever gets used to a mystic can almost play any AA easily, I believe.Trolling since September 2008b:victory
Don't worry. I might stop trolling and say something useful... One day....0 -
O.o How do you get from the most mana dependent class, to not needing any pots at all?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

But until (sort of) lvl60, you might feel like you are mp dependent. But if you struggle, you get you manage your mp with no difficulties.Trolling since September 2008b:victory

He mentioned 3 Classes = Wizard,Seeker and Cleric
I said Cleric its the cheapest of the 3,not of all classes.Yogaxpto - Dreamweaver wrote: »Mystic then?

I got my Mystic that skill and guess what.
5 minutes of cooldown are ridicolus,my Mystic in an FCC squad takes 60 secs to burn all her Mp(Pure Mag Build with no Vit at all).
I tell you,she burns Mp like hell,transfering Mp to pet,summoning plants,healing people,its a nightmare of mp drain.
And no,I don't even use a single Mp point to attack boss(Other than summoning the debuff plant),and still Mp goes away in a second.
5 Minutes cooldown saves barely a Mp food once every 4-5.The only way to beat a troll is....to troll him back b:angry0 -

And depending on your needs, you might not need pots even (I never used mp food on my mystic honestly). My bigger needs are tt solo mode and i have no problem doing so without any mp pots/food/charm.
But until (sort of) lvl60, you might feel like you are mp dependent. But if you struggle, you get you manage your mp with no difficulties.
Only way I can see that being possible is if you only use mana to heal pet. And guess what, a pure-build veno can do that and DD, and never use a pot (nor a mana regen apoth, which I think you might be using), and gets skills to refill MP (Nature's Grace, Soul Transfusion, Metabolic Boost) at a much lower level.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
