Ok the new rank 9 gear looks really great. In all honesty I am a firm believer in rank 8 gear being plenty strong, so im sure 9 is even better.
My one hope is that maybe now the public quests for rep will actually start being viable to do or is it just gonna be another cash shop only item.

    I geuss my main point was- does anyone think the public quest for rep will ever start getting used now? Will this finally make people aware that rank is worthwhile?

    R9 won't change this really, you still need a truckload of money to get anything worthwhile out of it.

    R8 is still as awesome as ever though (for certain classes atleast).

    That'd be the amount of chips, for a total of 2,049,796.

    And for the record, that'd be 1,844,817 tokens, whereas the reputation for Rank IX is 96,000 tokens.

    So yeah, the whole set comes to a price that is 19.22 times the price of the reputation to get there.

    That's kinda cool.

    Even more so when you realize that the amount of chips far exceeds the amount you'd need for a Warsoul. Unfortunately, a Warsoul has massive fees on those chips.

    Now watch PWE giving those items massive fees and watch as everyone abandons the idea of Rank IX forever. Or at least for some months.

    Well hey, at least now we have something new and shiny to look at that you aren't supposed to actually get since some people decided to break the "no touchy" rule and actually get warsoul here.

    you DO realise it cost $US 55k at current price for HT right?

    I cant see them to add fees on top of that.. to make it $100k?

    its $1583 for full r9 gear initial issue. kcuf the recast lol, i dont even want to know xD

    The General Summer's sales (which started Dec. of 2010, long after this thread died) seriously cut the cost of rank 9. There was no need to necro.
