Are Venos Fun?

Everyone has their own opinion.

I'm thinking of trying a LA one out some time or maybe the mage depending on difficulty for inexperienced players.

    I tried LA venomancer once... I got to 4x lvl but decide to scrap the character afterwards.
    I didn't enjoy it, not as much as pure mag veno. Mainly because my pet healing was ****. (due to scrapped mag in favor of dex for the Light Armor) Although I will admit it was fun to transform and be able to fight alongside my pet while doing ok damage.

    Venomancer is a fun class, what drew me to the class was the ability to solo things, because I don't really like having depend on others for kills. It can get tedious at times though, seeing as you mainly just heal your pet, and throw in some Ironwood/Venomous scarabs. It can also be a pain leveling up pets/keeping pets around your level.

    Overall, Good/easy playability, great moneymaker, easy kills. It's my favorite class.b:victoryb:victoryb:victory

    More complex Builds , like Light armor and heavy armor are more easy to use when high lvl. u got most skills maxed and gear/tomes to help distribute points for efficiently.

    But indeed , the venomancer's flexibility regarding the wide range of pets and build is truly unique

    b:chuckle Light Armor is a dirty word in this forum, you just wait till someones posts here and tells you you must be **** to even think about it on a veno. b:laugh

    Are veno's fun? Well, we like 'em :)

    A light armour veno isn't easy mode, by any stretch. You're giving up a lot of your punch; and a lot of your ability to keep your pet alive - which is very much not a guaranteed thing in the early levels - in exchange for some, but not very much extra physical defense and attack.

    I'd recommend against it - but suspect you'll have a lot of fun whatever armour you wear.

    Unless you're sure about what you're doing it's better to start with a Pure Mag or a Hybrid build and later on restat and go either LA or HA. Whatever you choose.

    However, it's not impossible to start with LA or HA from level 1. I know a couple of people who did this and are rather successful.

    It really depends on your research, luck (of finding good items) and will to work with such a complex build.

    Venos, like every other class, are as fun as you make them, and what is fun to your may not be fun to everyone else.

    We are unique in that our class really can take advantage of all three of the armor classes and each of them provide their own strengths and weaknesses.

    Veno's are fun yes BUT personally they used to be alot more fun then they are atm... For exemple finding a pt aint as easy as a veno as a BM or cleric or sin can. That bothers me sometimes endlessly. Ofcourse a good guild can back you up, but when you have changing play-time as I have you're sometimes online when your friends aren't. Thats when I get annoyed, cause our role in a pt has lost a part off its value and therefore veno's aren't asked for as much as they used to.
    Nevertheless, I still love my veno and its the only character that suits my way of playing in a way the others can't.

    LA and HA make you inferior to other classes which primarily benefit from them. You sacrifice most of the benefits of being a veno to be a wannabe. Any benefits are outweighed by a multitude of debilitation's. Make the choice if you're passionate about it, but don't think that you're going to be on par with the rest of us when it comes to being dynamic, independent, economical, or sensible.

    Venos are great fun to play from tamming pets to soloing caves & bosses and running around in fox form
    and to be able to play either AA LA or HA the last two you really need to look into and plan ahead stat wise

    Mara is Ha build was form lvl 1 to 101 no restats i did this to prove apoint to some freinds lol who said it couldnt be done make a few builds out and see wich one you like the best

    just be warned with La & Ha build u need to muck around with stats abit for armour and wepons the main thing is have fun and enjoy b:cute(

    Oh **** i'm covered in it D:

    Venos were always meant foe solo play in my opinion. If you like self reliance for most things venos are you class. I LOVE YOU GUYS IN NIRVY!!!!!!!!

    they are more fun than any other magic class ....

    you can solo fb 19 at lvl 23 with a extremely good weapon...

    solo fb 29 - qingzi - at lvl 37 better at lvl 43

    solo fb 39 at lvl 49 - if you know how to play pet you do not get aoe from farren...

    have one lvl 58 that can clean frostcover grounds bosses not yet guess i have to get it to lvl 63...

    anyway when I have heard lvl 45+ -any other class - trying to solo a fb19 just because you are bored well with a veno you do not have to be that ...

    if you only think of healing pet then you do not know how to play a veno, much less how to play a pet as a second char at the same time...

    fun kk this is what i have to say to those that just want to level up fast...

    get a big mirror look the at the game through it, use your left hand to handle the mouse you might have the same fun as playing with a veno... or just get bored leveling up and relying on high levels to do your instances so you can say it is fun after lvl 80... well a veno is hard to kill when well played, not like all those classes that get dead even at lvl 30 when soloing a fb19...

    la veno advantage :

    -low dmg
    -low pet heal
    -low resistance to magic or/and physic=>you will die to any kind of attacks fairly easy(1shot)
    -low mana
    -low chanel maybe
    -ppl will dismiss you from partys
    -hmmm what else....think i forgot somethingb:chuckle


    oh yea venos are complex and fun characters don't ruin it by light armors
    try either pure magic arcane or even vitality build arcane

    I love venos, and I have tried both LA, AA and HA on level 100 venos.
    I do not recommend HA and LA builds, unless they are pure and you go for APS. But HA/LA + Magic weapon is no good. Sure you get more defense, but as Nyxyo said, you get lower damage, equal 40% +/- damage loss, which is ALOT. To even it out, you would need high refines, but then again, you would have even higher damage if you used those refines on an arcane user.

    ---Also, here comes the worst two parts of having an LA/HA veno.. :

    1. You also get slow chanting, but you do get a higher critical hit rate. Still, you have minimum required dexterity, to have as much magic damage as possible, so your critical hit rate wont be as high as other LA classes.

    2. You get less defense than other LA/HA users, because you get the minimum required strengths again, to have as much magic damage as possible, and strength adds physical defense. Tho, this concern HA mostly.

    Veno was my first char in pwi from CB. It was fun ..then boring..then fun again!

    I had a lot of alts some of them I deleted some of them still exist but I can't just go from my veno for sure or delete it like I did with others. I can't do other veno too because it will no be the same xD Ahh I love my veno <3 She was LA at 6x- 7x lvl and I liked it but I changed to arcane just for def issue.

    Now my veno is VIT-Arcane with more than 100 vit and 6250k hp on 93 lvl....no barb buff used b:chuckle

    Too bad venos are not that welcomed in partys on bh, fcs anymore. This make my veno life a little boring <sight>

    (yes, in all the magic class chars - however we cause the same damage as any phys class in a regular hit )

    -low pet heal
    (depends on healing skill level and weapon, if you were referring to channeling yes, but then pet takes less than 33 % damage of what a regular char would take !)

    (sins - pure dex - are more squishy, depends on build and gear, and as stated before pet receives less damage than a regular char)

    -low mana
    (are you ignorant ?b:kiss, this is a magic class !!!)

    -ppl will dismiss you from partys
    (do not get along with sins they are what the name states killers of fun ,
    when in high levels you are veno and get along a sin, just look for another party, they can do the job faster, but truth is you do not play you just watch them -sins- or not if they stealth, at high lvls both classes can do the job, issue is who keeps drops, and that is why they kick you out of paty, specially if you have a herc, so a party of magic will be suitable enough to have fun, no phys dmg char just magic,

    I would like to see a just phys dmg party, no healers doing caves b:pleased
    no matter how fast 6 sins can hit they cannot kill bosses without heals, on the other hand 2 venos can outmost most instances and even be good where those 6 sins can't...

    so yes if you see a sin just quit the party, anyway you will get nothing and do nothing )
