Why don't people shame them? O_O

So today a BM lvl 55 a BM was recruited into the faction. We were giving him instructions on how to do quests from the faction base and then one of his questions was, "How to get Chi on a BM?" The question was wierd cuz this is the 1st thing u learn as any class at lvl 15 or so and become proficient at by lvl 30. I took one look at his gear. He was wearing the timed gear which u get from elder's blessing and the lvl 20 supply stash time duration hammers. Then in the mid of explaining to him, he says " gtg cya later" ...later he comes on , leaves the faction. Then another officer who didn't know him invites him back and soon enuff his 1st question is..
" Any1 here who does FC?" I told him if he was looking for free heads, this wasn't the place. 15 mins later he leaves the faction.
That was just another new player to the game who hit lvl 55 after doing just FC heads.
Anyways the point of this thread was why don't people shame these newbie FC lvlers? I mean if we go to the RT forums and some of the threads here, u see people actually mentioning the names while accusing/trolling/blaming people. why not do that for newbie FC lvlers too?
This can be 1 way of preventing new players and maybe old players from FC lvling their toons without knowing the class. People wil not want to squad with them and they'll soon be forced to quit that toon and make another one where they wud actually lvl up learning their class 1st.
Btw the BM's name is *Edited*. He's FC lvled to 55 and didn't know how to get chi as a BM.

And sure you can do that in-game, but not here on the forums. Your post has been edited.
I will however, agree that the influx of new people who know nothing about what to do as their class (veno's pulling with earthflame genie) does upset me, but I've learned to get over it. Its not like you can really do anything about it.0 -
Lol, we had the same happen yesterday in faction. Dude got invited, first thing he did was ask for someone to help him with bh. Then begged for FCC, later he tried to sell some guild base mat...
Imo those people aren't even worth the effort. And seriously, if you got a mature faction, they shouldn't make drama either. Even if they start cursing, trolling and randomly swearing at people, if you're mature you can handle it.
We had a bad case once, some guy joined and talked ****, insults and everything. Noone on to kick him at that time. So I dropped a line to everyone on and not afk to just ignore him and go on normal talking. He left quickly after he figured that he won't get attention.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

That. There are only a few Factions left that do the interview before inviting others to join. Even if its just a 5 mins interview.. To really know why you want to join the Faction I'm in, etc.
I prefer Faction like that rather than joining the ones that writes in CAPS "WOOHOOO WE GOT 175 MEMBERS NOW AND 15 ONLINE WE ARE LIKE, SO ACTIVE". "CMON PEEPS 25 MORE".

While a lot is being said towards plvled newbs, there are many non plvled newbs who face lots of issues and not able to learn the game properly. One can not learn everything on their own either by playing the game or going through forums. There are many things which one learns while playing with other people of same level.
It has been 2 months since I started this game and looking at my level, you may know whether I plvled or not. Currently in my faction, there are minimum 10-12 members who are new and not plvling. So I can assume that a fair amount of new players are still joining who are not plvling. Just to give you examples of the issues I faced, which other newbs also must be facing.
There are not enough low lvl players, and it results in almost no squads being formed most of the time. The only time squads are formed are for BH, where a high lvl will do almost everything while helping. Result: I still dont know a lot about other classes's skills and their capabilities at my lvl. For last 10 lvls or so, I have started getting squads with players of my lvl and now we are learning to manage aggro etc.
Try to buy armours or mats for manufacturing them for under lvl 60. Hardly anything will be available in market coz there is not enough profit or demand for them. Now you cant farm each & every mat required at low lvls (specially oils). This resulted in me either having quest rewards or npc items mostly till lvl 55+.
Most of the discussions on forums are towards end game or high lvl. There will be hardly any discussion or low lvl or mid lvl strategies. I also have a veno and sometime back when I asked for guidance on luring with pet (I was having difficuly luring ranged ones), one high lvl replied to use pet (which I was already doing) and another said to move on and kill those mobs when I am high lvl. I asked on forums coz even after repeated attempts I wasnt able to do it properly and needed guidance.
In short I am learning things at lvl 70, which I should have learned in 30s or 40s. No one is to be blamed for this. Its an old game and if there not enough new players, its not anyone's fault. Just wanted to point out that there are decent number of non plvled newbs who dont know the game properly and it's not entirely their fault.0 -
I was yesteraday in aba with full r9 bm who didnt know the way to tower or boss.
I was in gv with full r9 psy ~2-3 weeks ago who was never there before.
Same thing with r8/+10 seeker last week. We told him to use vortex. He just repeated "?" and did single kill mobs (+ occasionally aoeing) till end of gv3... Bl isnt big enough, even not big enough to avoid all wc spammers.
But its no big deal anyway. Because i can solo those instances with just 1-2 of my toons (at stun waves i might need help from 1-2 other ppl). The only thing im rly surprised about is that there r ppl out there who barely know the game - but they r willing to spent thousands of dollars for ... idk ... they r even not op. I even didnt know how to buy/sell gold 1.5-2 years i was in game...
Btw. i plvl alts too. And yup, my mystic, mage and psy r between 7x and 9x and ive still no idea how to play those classes (they didnt team up with any1 else till now). And i also didnt learn how to play my 1st archer til he hit 99/100. Wasnt a problem at all. I just asked friends which know the classes well which skills r usefull. Reading skill descriptions was useful too (but not always, they r often confusing). This game isnt difficult, u just have to organize ur shortcut bars and lvl up the skills u need (= u should know how to run instances to make coins or uve to spent rl money).0 -
Why should we shame this people ? They just adapting to the current meta. If you think they suck, make a fresh char on a server you dont own a penny and dont know anyone and level it up. Soon you will realize, unless you at least 90 you have a very hard time finding company and pwi feel like a boring solo game.
After level 100 and the right gear nothing but the very basics are needed because the pve content is no challenge for the gear we have.
So its allright to ask stupid questions , dont know your class and suck at anything and be undergeared because thats the current way how the game is played. At level 100 CS seperate from non Cs and people start learning something. If they not allready bored to death and go for another game they might become decent people in a few more months.
Edit :
On a game i previously played a Corporation advertised their recruitment with " Raising Success by lowering Expectations "

entering an intance for the first time is not the same as not knowing the class you play. i dont what happend in those runs with the bm and psy but the first time i entered abba,fb69,fb59 hell any instance i was pretty lost (even though i tend to have a map at hand and read guides before i start). im gonna have fun when i decide to do a rebith for the first time since i started almost 3 years ago b:laugh well i actually tried delta and it was pretty simple just need some motivation to do a full run now. maybe this year will be the year.....0 -

I'm quite a new player myself and i've found squads and company while doing quests, no trouble there; i've leveled all my alts upto lvl 40 the straight way
Sure, It is the current trend but, nobody likes the current trend. Shaming the FC lvled newbies will help end this trend.
The person i'm talking about here, didn't know how to get chi which is abc of any class. And yeah by 70 atleast people should know what earthflame is. It's funny when every1 in the squad knows what a vortex is, except for the seeker himself. Cleric's that heal during FC heads (common one), BM's that don't stun. This is the end result which gets people killed in endgame squads.
BH100's are still challenging wined, even abba,SOT and particularly the sacrificial strike mobs are lethal to every1. You need more than the basic skills to kill them.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Well there is one way.. For example, Don fito police the fcc entrance and kills anyone who he can one shot.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Its all about player's attitude, those crybabes have always been here since the start of PWI.
With just a difference:
- Long time ago,if you were a spolied brat QQer that thinks levelling from 1-30 takes too long and just wanna reach lv.100 asap cuz its **** being low level and such, you couldn't do a thing other than oracles(Which becoming quickly expensive and you had to deal with limited space). That time, those kind of players would have just quit.
- Now,they got an alternative,FCC sellers,so instead of quitting after 2 hours of playing and unistalling the game they rush to 100 spend a couple of hundred of dollars in R8+ stuff and then they stand idle in west archosaur wondering WTF now? **ragequit** <-- This especially after realizing that even with good equip they can't compete with people with both good equip and actual knowing the class...The only way to beat a troll is....to troll him back b:angry0 -

I can't count the number of newbies floating aimlessly around FC that randomly whisper if i can drag them through to heads only to check their gear and see a lv 20 chest weapon equipped. lol You have to wonder though, if they are so new they seem to know just what to ask for to be plv.0

Put random NPC's insted of shades in FC that requiers a full squad within a lvl 10 range 85+ to continue.
Problem solved[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Unless those NPC's worked like 5th boss portal and meant you had to teleport using the NPC to parts of FC that would then be closed off without that means, then people would just do what they already do and wait to squad the newbies till heads when it was all already open.0 -
What I've began doing in order to stop these FCC nubs, is when selling/giving out FCC heads, I require a PWI related question to be answered first.

lol, that only works for if you know the answer xD.
I don't even bother anymore, if I sell big room then it's first come first served and if they don't pay...Well, I always love more red hours (I still find it funny people even try to PK this BM, all they will ever get is arrows and crab meat)Nothing worthwhile to mention here, enjoy the animated signature~

You do realize that's the point, right? Ask a question such as "How do you gain chi for certain skills/sparks?" Showing they actually play, and aren't a FCC plvl'd nub.0 -

hahah lvl 55 guy with lvl 20 stash wep and elder's blessing isn't a plvled nub? I'd like u to accomplish something like that. Anyways the guy's probably doing his lvl 20 SC quests and that's probably where he doesn't have a main to 1 shot mobs for him.
omg funny thing is, the guys didn't know how to get chi and he knew what he needed to look for to hit 100 fast (FC heads) b:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Why should we have to quest if you can just frost? Pw isn't rocket science, there's stupid people who quested to lvl 100 and they still don't know how to play either. What does flying half way across the map to kill 25 of the same mob teach you about gameplay? =/Siggy from bellefleurs.

well for one it would teach u that hitting a mob gets u chi?
and 2nd it should teach u atleast how ur skills are called...
I, as a mage, can count more BM skills and what they do when 98% of BMs can't...
and god forbid u mention stun to them....
or axes... god forbid axes ( specially in GV b:sweat)0 -
True, pw isnt rocket science but id like to think just the opposite. pw is really easy to understand when ya take the time to figure it out even for a min. the skills are so easy to understand even a little kid could probably figure it out. sure gameplay and doin quests helps ya to understand the game, but it also helps to experiment what your skills are and when to use em in each situation. a player who cant knw and understand their own class limitations or at least willing to try and understand them shouldnt be playing pw. the mobs have become much harder to kill since the genesis expansion and they have become much harder since it takes almost alot of effort to get their hp down to 0. I think one of the better solutions is to teach and train those that do low lvl quests to help guide them. plus if any of those that have plvled to 100 who also want to learn how pw works, then help em to understand the basics. its a big job but those who are willing and up for the task should be able to do it one player at a time. Sure id like to see pw change back to the way things used to be also but i dont think that will happen anytime too soon. there are somethings that we old school type players can do and we can start by guiding the newbies into doing things in pw the right way instead of the fast way.The Sure Shot that Flies Straight
