Endgame dilemma

Ok, while this normally shouldn't be a problem, I (yes every post in bm forums is build questions) cant decide on my class to endgame...i have two set decisions, which before you go wild with accusations of to costly to do, its not. Thats all there is to it, its just not. This game is a hoby to me, and im hoping you guys at the BM forums (seekers just wonder about vortex Q_Q).
So, first one up is an attempt to get back at fist fighting style rather than r9. axes would be r8 spirit black hole to purge (giving fists a much easier time).
http://pwcalc.com/7b3304d5b0a67beb
(yes i know what wep that is, and chipping fees along with good string of sales means its not nearly the same heavy price as a year ago).
Ok, second being a non bm class (hey i said seeker for a reason).
http://pwcalc.com/64fed9a91c735ebc
Anyways, they almost come out to same costs, and again i know either are extremely needlessly expensive. But if I want to smack around r9 archers like a cat toy than I should be allowed to...given proper tactics.

Just a tip on the chest you can get triple -.05 on it, then with the set bonus of two r8 recasted pieces (being -.05) you really wouldn't need much other gear. (With the triple -.05 on the chest with all the other -int gear you put on the calc you would end up being 5.0 base <.<, not needed for a bm)

Slight adjustment to your gear, so instead of the lionheart belt and wrist you are using the r9 belt and wrist.
Also you could still get the lionheart to keep yourself at 5.0 base by switching between them during pvp (I mean a 5.0 unsparked bm in pvp would be funny as hell to watch xD)Nothing worthwhile to mention here, enjoy the animated signature~

Well, if i remember correctly, the set is +10 str for two pieces, and for LA r8 recast its 3 pieces for .1 int. Unless they changed it...than *** yeah. <.< >.>. Anyways, yes i know (both) boots and chest can get more than -.05, i set it at just .05 per for cost sake...even though the wep is costly. I just remember the chances of both .05 is a a small number, and trying so many times= Q.Q. Anywho... (and 5.0 would be funny)0

LA R8 recast is not available to a BM since they're rank based.
If you're on RT then go for the first build and 1v1 with me. I'm still looking for a decently geared BM that would 1v1 me all day long.
If not then either. Personally I would still go for the BM because I find my BM more enjoyable to play than my seeker.0 -
since -0.15 int chest seem pretty much impossible to me i put it like this this. I think its still very very end game pve. Would love to see a bm in these gears somewhere b:laughcurrent pwcalc.com/ecccbccc47400382

Since we are going for a ridiculously expensive but still in the realm of possibility build, here is a slight upgrade off of ShadowsFlame build http://pwcalc.com/9293fdf116759b60. Just took tome to Love:Up and down, cube neck to G16, and changed helm out for a better one since 3 pieces of Lunar vana don't give anymore set bonus.
Of the two builds, I think anyone you ask in here would prefer BM build because its the bm forums. I like BM because of marrows, damage output, HF, and stuns and antistuns primarily. Seekers are beautiful because their hp is deceptive because of their defense levels, but their damage is still moderately low compared to a bm. Endgame they have a hard time finishing other endgame opponents, although are almost impossible to beat when charmed. If your goal is to control fights and bop people, bm, archer, wizzy, or psy are your best bets. If melee is your playstyle then only one of those fits.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -
First off, I would like to say thanks for all the feed back. b:thanks
After some thought, and help with my build from my girlfriend, (Who had now decided she wants to leave her other charas, and move to the world of a BM), I'm going to change the build I am using.
Rather than getting the warsoul fists, were going to take that extra money and gear us both . I'll post links first, and explain the reasons for everything second.
note: helmets have an extra 1200 because the hp stack of two r8 recasts for a bm. pwcalc doesnt stack it yet.

Me: http://pwcalc.com/4a1d267d9f182df7
I would like to note that we are on a PvP server, and very much enjoy PvP. b:dirty
First is her link. She is going to be sage BM. b:shocked Yes I know here in the BM forum, the words sage and BM should not be in the same sentence... BUT she explained her reason quiet well. I am, and always will be a demon BM, but through further study we found that the perfect PvP partner to a demon BM is.. a sage BM of all things. Her main concern right now is her sage marrows, which we corrected through Jade, combined with vit stones, and icebourns. Combining our bells, mine first, her seconds will provide quiet high P def for us both, and help with the lower P def she will have from her M Marrow. Aside from the defense bonuses, and the bell thing, our other skills seem to work well together. For example, the sage Fissure reduces fire defense by 30% for 8 seconds (The cooldown time), combined with either A. demon drakes breath bash or B. (really try these out) Fire pots lvl 45.
Now, a point I want to make clear- Cancel channeling is gone. Demon bm completely disowned sage bms because of this ability to cancel channel high fire damage+ crit. Unfortunately..its dead. While this was a hit, it allowed sage bm to be viable again. Both have advantages, while demon has higher stun lock, a sage has chi conservation and crit increase from highland cleave, along with again- the fire resistance decrease. (also note 4.0 base means cyclone-3spark. sage cyclone being 20 seconds..).
The double Int on the chest will be hard to get, but the plan is to get single int then get another chest later to cast until they're double. Till then, because she is sage, in pve she will have 99 gold wrist and belt to be 4.0 base then.
Ok its obvious we like using fists. No- we wont be sins for that easy aps. Been there..done that..got the tee-shirt. b:chuckle Our builds are based around being versatile and unique. from other people not each-other, lol.
So onto axes yes? Our plan is for me (the male bm) to get r8 recast spirit black hole axes, while she goes nirvana second cast pole axe, so having pierce (reduce physical defense). These work on the basis of rather than praying to Pangu for sac, the hits afterwards will take a harder toll on them. Axes to us are large groups- or assistance in stun/disables. So no, not looking to r9...speaking of which.
...We refuse to use the r9 ring. No. never. Yes it gives a little p.attack and 5 defense levels, but we prefer the greater p.def increase (along with the m.def).
..and red clashes. (shh bout the fists). as for the pangu tomes, the green clashes b:laugh
So..all in all..fist bms aren't dead, nor should they be restricted to assistance classes.
p.s we live together, so the group fighting is a lot easier than shouting into a mic like a raving lunatic.0 -
I've personally rerolled my G15 +12 dance of goddess reality 85+ times... I could have gotten R9 twice with the amount of money I used up.
My take on it is this:
Get R9 first, THEN do the massive amount of re-rolling on fists/claws / warsoul fists/claw. I can't emphasize this enough. Huge mistake on my part for having wasted billions on re-rolling instead of working on survivability in PvP first.
#1 rule in PvP for a BM should be survivability first, damage second.
Demon still rolls Sage even without CC. Demon bell + mage marrow says enough for survivability in group/mass PvP especially against R9 +12 archers in the crowd. 4% crit masteries and reliable stun-locks without OI, makes viability for 91 LP+ Faith vit/magic genie/dex genies.
I still contest with the notion of using fists in interval gear for mass PvP; it just lowers survivability way too much compared to full R9. Now if we were talking 1v1 or PvE, it'd be awesome, but against other R9 +12, it hurts pretty bad to be in interval gear (I've been one shot so many times with +11 interval gear).
Don't get me wrong, I use interval gear in 1v1 against the top R9 archers on our server, but I tank them first in my R9 before switching offensive. That's why from my perspective, I say prioritize in getting the R9 first, and worry about the interval stuff later (if you can afford it). If I were to restart my BM I wouldn't bother getting my interval gear past +5 and fists past +10, I'd go straight for the R9 before even thinking of re-rolling for any of the high end stuff lol.BM PvP Guide: pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1320761

I respect your opinion about R9, but the first thing I'd like to point out, is all the interval gear we have, is G15 rather than the old G12 interval set up. Meaning that we are not taking a huge defensive loss. Neither one of us are fans R9, R9 focuses on axes attack and crit which in group PvP means only a certain amount of AOEs are going to land, and if the sac does proc, its for that one hit. Rather than relying on one hit miracles, our axe choices focus on causing the enemy problems after the hit. (spirit black hole and armor break). Also note the orns were of the first items that we're +12ed, increasing survivability to near the same as a bm whos full r9 (r9 belt is 700 per, while the ring gives +5 defense levels, the belt/ring both give high p.def/m.def). So r9 would never be a choice. As for the fist problems, we're not doing the weps till the armor is done. we're using regicides till the rest is done. The functionality of aps was increased due to r8 recast, so no more LA pieces/g12. So if we did get tired of the current shards, full jade is possible.0

Oh, and for mass pvp, of course we wouldnt run in with fists, axes would be first choice, with fists during an isolated target. Sage marrows arent to bad when combined with a demon bms bell proc, and tbh we dont usually go anywhere without each other. Even without, the defenses are high. (though tbh i also prefer demon marrows).0

Very interesting

what to choose

you should post a screenie of these gears if it ever actually happens. 2 double int chests would be a sight to see. didnt traz say it was an estimate of 18 rerolls for one -.05? but hey, more power to ya0
-
There is currently a blademaster on the Lost City server who has double .05 int on their recast chest. Plus, we plan on stopping for a little while after getting single int. Finishing everything else, then going back to the chest. Double int right off the bat would be a little nuts. b:chuckle0
