I suggest that there be some requirements on content before posting around here. If not, this forum will become a barren desert of thought. My 2 yr old grandson makes more sense than most rescent posts here.

    b:laugh My most sincere apologies, LecusSkylark. My younger adult life was spent learning how to give the enemies of my country, both foriegn & domestic, a more effecient way to die for their cause. I am a Marine grunt currently working as a civilain. I what not a English teacher.

    That being said, seeing that you are great at English, maybe you can help me out. How would you correctly write the simple sentence, "There are three to's in the English language." Being a simple college drop out type, I always get confused about the correct "to, too or two" to use in that sentence. I've always heard that one should be able to write down what is spoken; but, that continues to haunt me. b:thanks

    Yep, it's what I don't know. Seeing as folks here feel free to randomly correct spelling which really doesn't matter, I though I'd see if they might know something of interest. I know what's wrong with the simple sentence. I've just never seen how to write it correctly as it was spoken. Doesn't seem like it would be any effort for the folks who visit this forum. b:chuckle

    It would make the sentence a little longer, but writing; there are three ways to write the word, to, in the English language, would make the confusion less I think :)

    lol, I've no problem someone correcting my grammar if it stinks. Learn something or re-learn something everyday right? Memory like a sieve I have ;p
