A Site With Pet Pictures are Finally Here!!!!!

Ever wondered what all the tamable pets look like in Perfect World International? Well raptorkillz, TattoAngel, and Channonon from the Archosaur server have some news for you. We came up with a website with all Perfect World International pets revised with pictures. Yes, the site was revised with factual information on pets and some tips on how to handle your pets. The Hercules, Phoenix, and the Glacial Walker are not the only ones that are out there. Pictures are still under construction, we still need to go to higher level dungeons, but 95% of all pets are revised with pictures. Please give comments and suggestions about the website. We will be checking your comments in this thread about our site as often as we can. It may take a minute to load pictures, we appreciate your patience.

    Any particular reason you made a new website rather than revising the wiki page you copied?

    One tip...change the colors, those are impossible to read.

    And useful site only there is a wiki page about it as Mayfly stated. ;) Yours is a bit easier to follow(when we ignore choice of colors) though.

    Mayfly- We updated a couple of the pet names from that website. Also, the reason behind taking the wiki page was because because there are a ton of pets and it would take a ton of coding. The reason why we revised it was because we wanted to add pictures to the pets. I've talked to many venos over the past year and a half and they all said they wish that wiki site had pictures so we basically added the pictures. There are also a few notes listed at the top that we personally discovered while taming these pets. This site took a lot of time, coin, and effort (we had to revert and hatch each pet in turn).

    Ivienn- The colors we picked were colors that would allow the black font to be visible. We did not want to change the black font, that would take a lot of decoding. What colors, besides the purple and mint green, would you like to suggest that would still allow the black font to stick out?

    very nice but please change the collors, I cant look more then 1-2 seconds without feeling the need for a welding mask. As a site manager... you dont want ppl to run away from your site b:victory

    I agree with the rest on the colors. Bright colors work very eyestraining, but so do dark on dark colors.

    Colors like these will work better :]

    Also a sans-serif font might work better.
    Verdana per example is just made for webpages b:quiet
    If I'm not mistaken this webpage's font is verdana too ^^

    Thanks for the color tip I am currently changing the colors on the site as we speak. Unfortunately I am not changing the individual colors to each pet picture background. That would take me forever!!!!! Thanks again with the colors.

    White background and add some design in the back so it wouldn't look so plain? And changing font color takes only few codes if you coded it well. As much as I can see for your website it should be two codes. And also for black font you don't need to add any code at all cause it's black by default. Background color atm is much better then one I saw yesterday(or was it two days ago?). Also light gray makes black still easy to read, actually any light color makes black easy to read. If you need help with code send me a message I will gladly help you. ;) It might take a day or two to reply since it's mid of exam term but I will reply.

    Edit: Now I see Hazumi_chan's post and it pretty much sums up my advice about colors. ;)

As far as a background is concerned, we wanted to make the site simple so everyone from Internet Explorer to Opera Web Browser can use it. Also, sometimes a background puts a lot of lag on to the site. The group shot we have on the top is decorative, and it doesn't add too much lag to the site.

    Yeah it looks much better now ^^ and I meant some simple background like frame or something..but I understand, you are right ;) nice job with with info on web..much easier to follow then wiki ;)

    And you got an error there. Legendary pets like herc/nix can be reverted to a pet egg. Even account stashed. Just not traded to another player.

    Thanks for the clarification. I have changed the facts but I am having trouble uploading the new index to the site. Along with some new pets we caught a couple of days ago. I will inform everyone when the site is corrected and new pets are uploaded.

    deathrider35- We'll put some info up on the site regarding the rare pet's spawn time. Be aware they don't spawn at the exact time every time you tame them. They can be a few minutes off sometimes. It's 12 hours after they've been killed, but once the server updates it changes and the rare pets reset. After the server comes back up they should spawn 5 hours afterwards, give or take a few hours. I'll post and experiment with the exact method once the site starts allowing us to upload things and once I have the time to catch rare pets again. There is a method though.

    I'm sorry but personnaly I dont get much from this, that the wiki doesnt already provide. I would very much have liked to see the round stats chart included with the picture. For me, this gives a better representation of the pros/cons of the pets stats.

    To any newies out there, you can also scroll through the auction house pet section and with your mouse pointer over a particular pet name, information is given.

    I propose you allow or advise how us venos can submit pictures of the pets' stats chart to the creator and have this included in the site.
