Any Point in Starting up my Wiz again?

Is there any real point to start working on my wiz again, I haven't played In a while just been getting updates from Varaconn, while he keeps tempting me to start up on my Wiz once again. I don't find any real reason to play.

    But Vara will probably use me as his PvP puppet, Hence i go out see who out there then he can run or kill em.

    If this upcoming expansion is as good as it says, wiz'a will be getting a major boost in their viability for pvp. scroll trough the wiz forum and find a thread about the new skills. some classes (clerics lol) are getting totally shafted with useless skills, but wiz is getting some potentially OP ones.
