I'm someone that likes to farm for my stuff, and I would like to know if there's still some like me.
I mean, I will farm the mats to make my molds and such and I will "farm" fb's/bh's to get rep from darkness stamps and such.
Something does bug me though and I want to know if i'm the only one to think that way.
Those repeatables in oht.
I know that by now, almost everyone I know put cash in game and got that helm and/or boots from packs/bought from a friend. But what about those who really want to farm it as achievement ?
Could you possibly think of either A : Lowering amount required to make the maxed stats ones or B : Making the repeatables give more then 4. (They already give nothing else except exp/spirit/drops from mobs themselves.)
I mean, do a quick math here.. Around 12 000 wraith spirits to make maxed helm, if u do the repeatable let's say..3 times a day and get lucky on drops, u might pull out 20 wraith eyes total. That is still 600 days or so to farm a helm.
Seems that any kind of grinding/farming now has become pointless (or close), is there still some people that do ?.
Or i'm the last fool that thinks I can get stuff whitout putting thousands in game in a more reasonable time frame then 2 years ?

I agree, I would like to be able to farm the gear from its specific map instead of busting my hump to farm coin for it that could be used for other things. It is just ridiculous that it takes so many of the items to get the helm or boots.0

I dont think there are many ppl nowdays that farm for rep and molds etc like you do, yes alot of ppl CS to get their stuff but there are other ways ro make money too. merchanting ftw.
Well myself i both merch and farm (dunno if powerlvling counts as farming tho).
Alot of ppl still dont cashshop (myself cashsoped very very little) but theres other and faster ways to make money and just buy the stuff.
But keep farming its nice to know theres still some ppl there playing "the old school way" ;D[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Cudo's to you for sticking with farming. I kinda gave up on the idea after figuring it would take litterly years to get the stuff I wanted. but without people like you there would be little to no economy. So thank you for sticking with it and bringing the stuff that myself and many others want to buy to the market. b:victory0

Farming is pretty much dead if you've accomplished all of your goals.
Nirvana is probably the worst farming instance any MMO has ever created.
I love to farm. I'd probably start playing again if they create newer TT gear in well designed and challenging runs. They need to add a 4th-6th chapter to TT and then I'd be back into it I'm sure.I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.0 -

I was in Old Unicorn Forest once and I stumbled on an archer who farmed the g13 OUF hat (penultimate tier, takes 5.4k spirits). I thought that was quite an accomplishment... Why she was still there was a mystery to me :<Proving that not only archers do math since 2009. b:victory

I still farm for my stuff. Farming as in:
Hauling **** and cheek to the nearest herb in Hell and gather it...even though there's maybe...1 or 2 people in the instance. b:surrender
Farming mats just to sell em back to catshoppies. Oh, and for my catshoppie as well to make a lil coin here and there.
Back then when I had my herc on another server, I spammed TT like most venos did lol.
Farming in general: for coin, molds, etc. That's what I do on my veno. To keep me from raging on the rank 8 asking bh squads and not get bored lol.
But yeah I still do it. I barely charged anything onto this game and more than likely never will. I manage to grind up coin up to the mils myself - and will continue to do so! b:victoryb:shocked

Well there's one thing good about all the new sales and such.. Is that wherever I go to farm/grind, there's barely anyone. I just try to alternate chars while I do so to not get too bored (Lynx is my barb)
I was also wondering, how many actually do room 50-60 in cube for game coins ? I farmed enough for the 1st neck myself, but thinking about running it 79 other times or so to get the best one. A lot of you here that actually farmed it instead of buying it right of ? And any estimates on how much it costed you ?
I know room 50-60 can cost 1 mil easy to pass, so I figure 80 mils or so. But also during those runs, we get book credit cards, probably enough per 2 runs to make 3 PoF/OBP, so in the end, is it really worth to try such a endover ? (And talking about making the 79 game coins neck here, not the belt that also needs warsoul mats)
Right now wearing lionheart neck to get that 15 vit bonus from 4 pieces, but if someone tells me it's worth it and that the cube neck would actually give more hp (even if i lose the 15 vit), maybe i'll start to farm that too b:victoryProud supporter of the new expansion. Sure it has it's share of bugs, like any games. But for a pure farmer/grinder, that's a whole lot of new mobs to go beat up b:chuckle0 -

this isnt farming this is grinding..farming is when u dig mats/herbs..k ty.
Im still oldschool at times and will still farm mats/herbs and run solo instances/mobs(grind) for dq/mold/book drops..but darkness stamps..whocares lol.
I usually do the above now if im totally out of something to do.
and cube is boring and can be a coin sink at times.This game is like washing hair with shampoo... Rinse and repeat if desired.

Farming the cube neck is a blast, and can turn out to be a profitable exercise too if you like gambling on skill books. It doesn't en up being 79 more runs for the coins if you get the rooms that give you game coins. I ran adv cube just for the g13 one, tbh, since I thought it looked unique and I didn't feel like bothering with the warsoul mats.
Perhaps the most pointless endeavour to farm is the cape from map 4. ~_~Proving that not only archers do math since 2009. b:victory

I still farm molds (fb19 to fb59), TT mats, manufacturing materials, cannies, raps, and farming for herbs almost on a daily basis xD I've made several Alts just to farm stuffs

I farmed my helmet in OHT. Took 9 months but it was really worth it. With the DQ drops you make lots of money. I used to farm about 3-5 hours a day. Gained about 1-1.5 mil a day on DQ. And that's without double drops. Good luckb:victory0

That may have been me..
Started farming them again to get the mana helm for my veno, but got side tracked and ended up farming deltas for a +35 strength tome for my archer instead. (needed it to wear the hp helm being pure dex)
Maybe I will have to look and see how many spirits i still need to get that...0 -
