Hiya
I'm running PWI on MSI GT725 laptop, Windows 7 x64
It has dual core processor and ATI HD4850 graphic card.
I can run new games in great details - but PWI... 5-20 FPS, depending on sorroundings.
Anyway even in TW it shouldn't be THAT BAD!
Getting new GPU drivers didn't work. (Even setting all details and effects to minimum do not improve framerate when there're some ppl around...)

What to do?
64 bit system does that? Or maybe something else?

C'mon, help me!

Try setting pwi to only use 1 core.

Well pwi runs on a pretty old engine (6-7 years or so) I believe.
That means it doesn't use lots of things that newer hardware and software offer.
The most obvious example of this is how it barely takes any advantage from more then 1 core.

This might mean you can't do much about it as it means pwi just won't efficiently use your hardware

PWI is CPU-intensive, not GPU-intensive because the client was written around 2004.

In 64-bit set it to run as administrator and that will improve things. Also it helps to not have any browser toolbars installed on your system. (It has been verified by GM's that several interfere with the client.)

Try something like GameBooster3 to shut down un-unnecessary tasks before loading the client.

In windows 7+ it will utilize more than one core, but only when it reaches around 80% load on one core. (this is a feature of the OS, not the client.)
