I am just curious as to what the highest aps you can get as a sage seeker is.
If it's over 2, that would be pretty good yeah?

    2.22 APS (with a STR genie with Relentless Courage it can go up to 2.86).

    seekers dont need aps, but if you must know, its 5, they have to be freakishly lucky and recast the rank 8 armor pieces that can get int for .05int 3 times and more stuff

    Vortex with +10 or above weapon is pretty much a 5.0 archer

    People have been getting above 1/s unsparked with bow for a long, long time. Slingshot is the same speed as bows with -0.1 int.

    Anyways, what's the point of 5.0 seeker? You might as well just roll a sin. Similar weapon damage, more stats in primary attribute, higher crits, cheaper to 5.0.

    Why are you laughing exactly? Seeker can at least in theory go 5.0 APS. The trick is the practical application there of. The reason I say it is a trick is because it requires a virtually infinite number of re-rolls on the rank 8 recast armor and weapon in order to achieve along side of Demon Spark.

    As for what the highest APS for Sage happens to be, well I would argue that it definitely isn't 5.0 APS, I imagine that in theory it can get pretty darn close.

    So ermh..
    reasons to play seeker: aoe skills, tanky, debuffs (at least for me that is)
    reasons to play a sin: cheap(ish)5 aps, endgame tanky, farming and pvpwtfpwn ppl. (I dun play a sin, bare with me if I miss stuff or whatever XD)
    5aps seeker: hella expensive, endgame on par with sins, farming .-. ?

    so... why not make a sin .-. making an aps seeker makes no sense to me. .____."

    Seeker with 5 APS? b:chuckle Seekers dont autoattack to cut (poke if ur a sin) their enemies to death, they use damn skills... Although in theory, it IS possible to get 5 APS (sage or demon) with R8 recast, but... good luck gettin the int on your gears, and good luck gettin the int several times on ur gear b:victory

    yeah the Rank 8 Recast Body and Feet Armor for Seeker can at least in theory have -0.15 INT on it. Though the cost of doing so is absolutely obscene. So much so that anyone that spends that much on the game could easily have bought a small mansion instead (complete with serving staff).

    From a pure DPS point a view a 5aps rank9 seeker utterly stomps a 5aps rank9 sin, the cost of both however is out of a normal players reach (getting -0.1 int on boots to be a 5aps rank9 sin while more possible than what the seeker needs is also completely unlikely)


    Purely Self buffed the Seekers minimum damage per hit is basically equal to the sins maximum damage per hit with the seekers maximum being a good 4k higher (around 16% higher DPS) Both are pure DPS built with the rank9 orn for the defence bonus (10 defence levels is greater than 5% hp from a purely pve perspective however PVP wise I would recommend both drop to 4aps sparked and run G16 cube necks)

    Michael, for the record. It is impossible to get a 5 aps rank NINE seeker. The closest you can get is a 5 aps recasted rank 8 Seeker. And while it may stats wise be a fact that a rank 8 recast Seeker with 5 APS does curb stomp a similarly geared 5 APS Assassin... it is still going to be infinitely cheaper to get a 5 APS Assassin than it will ever be to get a 5 APS Seeker.

    nope im pretty sure I just linked a 5aps rank9 seeker (in demon spark of course but then again the rank9 sin is only 5aps in demon too) at the bottom of my original post while 3x interval is almost impossible for chest and boots it is actually still possible thus I maintain my original stance that 5aps rank9 seeker is theoretically possible while exceedingly difficult to obtain.

    Edit: for sage of course the only 5aps option is the rank8 recast sword, which while it was the original point of the thread, however people said that seekers and sins had basically identical damage on their weapons so my original intent was to disprove that (however you still have the wolf emblem vs guild base crit damage buff and powerdash + higher crit vs guild base crit buff issue to determine who will actually deal the highest dps in pve)

    Calling a character who has only 3 pieces of rank 9 gear (that don't even contribute towards their Attacks Per Second rate) a 5.0 APS rank 9 character is simply arguing semantics. Fact is the gear that grants that character their 5.0 APS status is not their rank 9 gear and never will be (at least not until rank 9 Seeker gear is given Interval Bonuses).

    And for the record the Radiant Eye gear in your link is technically Rank 8 Recast Gear. Not the Rank 9 Gear. Only the Ring of Trauma, Sentient Broadsword, and Sentient Belt in your link are technically Rank 9 items.

    The more I see such threads, the more I think it's seekers who started their chars and then realized they want to be a sin or a bm wanting to rationalise that they will be 5.0 one day (instead of creating an aps char).

    Good luck getting 5.0 on a seeker guys :) I will personally donate you something if you achieve it, contact me whenever you're there.

    getting 5.0 APS on a seeker is the largest money sink this game has to offer. You would be better served spending the same money you would spend on a 5.0 APS Seeker on something more tangible like a Super Computer or a new House or something else that costs the same small fortune (5 million to 5 billion US Dollars) instead of wasting it all on a 5.0 APS Seeker. b:surrender
