G15 claws versus G15 fists

We've been a bit slow in here so I though I'd give us something to argue.


G15 claws and G15 fists have essentially the same adds, except for Revenge vs Berserk and Blood Vengeance vs Frenzied Rage. Also, fists have a more consistant damage output while claws have better spike damage but they average out to be the same damage.

So! Which are better? For PvE? For PvP? For looks (just kidding, bladed dragons or lobster claws versus cheerleading pom poms?).



I see alot of people using G15 fists but my preference was the claws. The dphof Berserk is higher but at the cost of survivability and in some cases you attack speed, limiting your gear option. The difference between a Revenge buff and a Berserk buff isn't huge but one heals you and one gets you killed. Wanted to see what others thought. Discuss :D

    Unless you have a -.05 r8 recast chest or double -.05 adds on g15 fist, Berserk will put you to 4.0 after it procs. This makes it **** for PVE. The attack speed increase might make it good for unsparked damage in pvp but that's not at all worth having +50% damage taken. You could do the same thing with claws and lvl 1 windshield.

    I think the only reason most BMs get fist is because the red one looks cool.

    You'd still be 4.0 without double int. It'd be better to use g13 claw / tt100 fist + windshield for 5.0 veno.

    I don't PVP, so no clue about that.

    The 99 key boss, with some debuffs to no debuffs, while sparked my crit damage is 3.9k~5.5k. Mostly 4.2k~4.6k. Other bosses die too quickly for me to see test numbers. Deicide (+5) do lower damage, but i use them more because of chi gain.

    In tt, i have noticed when i dd with my friends, with g15 claws+hf and others dd, we take down about 200k~250k hp in one spark cycle. With deicide it is about 120~150k hp of the boss.

    On bosses that seal me, i use g15 sparked before the seal. A few seconds before the seal i switch to deicide to get my 3 sparks. I have to ensure that i have 3.1~3.5 sparks before i use claws, otherwise i won't be able to spark the second time when the first spark ends (4 aps issues). So i juggle those around depending on the situation. But the g15 claws do more damage than deicide at 5aps. I am sure once i get the tome, i will not use deicides for PVE at all.

    Since i don't have the adds, i can't say which is better, but i don't like sac strike on axes, they killed me once and come close every time in fcc. I can only imagine how bad it is on fists, especially now at 4~5 aps.

    A friend prefers fists, simply because of consistent damage.

    I have to say the TT nirvana fists do look pretty cool but I'm going to stick with the G13's for as far as I can tell. If by any chance somebody is selling G15 claws with -.1 I may buy it. I'd pick the claws over fists. I like more spike.

    G15 claws are generally better in PvE, the only time the G15 fists would be better DPS for PvE is if you have a lot of beefed up defensive gears and got the double int or int on chest with the zerk to stay 5.0. It seems more viable now with the 9 trials option now, but still costly.

    Neither G15 weapon is good in PvP unless you can go full HA in them in which case you'd want the claws; the only exception is in 1v1s which would probably default to fists due to higher unsparked dps. Wearing any LA in mass PvP is a mistake, heh.

    14 and nearly 16 alts to stack keys on for 99 key quests. I might try for 2 -ints. I guess we'll see how my veno goes :P

    I sort of understand, it's also the same reason why I went Striking Dragons instead of Deicides. I still feel really bad about the decision, but I look so good in them.
