Bow sins

Every good sin has a decent bow. I'm wondering what are the end game bows and their current relative cost for each and what makes them better then the others.

Lately I have been thinking of purchasing a lunar bow, but now i am second guessing myself as to if i actually want something else.

    IMO the best endgame bow for sin is either Lunar forge Nirvana or G15 Nirvy with -.05

    (I don't have either on my sin yet, but will eventually go for G15 once I finish reforging my daggers)

    I just want to point out that this option is for people who REALLY want to be all-around OP

    Can sins only use bows and not slings and xbows? I've never played the class and always wondered why they don't use slings with all the interval gear they usually have.

    Slingshots and crossbows are Archer only. No other class can use them

    Sins can only use bows...Mine uses a highly refined 2nd cast lunar nirvana bow (purge), but honestly a heaven shatter would be the reasonable bow to use as a sin unless you just felt like being flamboyant or sharing it with an archer like me.

    The base attack rate of bows is so low that -int is relatively useless.

    But I would aggree G15 Nirvana with a purge proc would be best, followed by Lunar with purge.


    ....Killed a brambled R9+10-12 cleric by popping stealth with a tripple spark and bowing them down. Pretty entertaining.

    bow down a cleric rank9 happens once in blue moon..maybe he was afk

    sin has to have a bow, i got lunar bow +5 cause i love purge and actually use purge on it in some tts or even tw...lunar bow is 30mil or so that no big deal and pays off

    sure would be nice have a nirvana bow with advance purge and +12 but i see reason for that only if u already have archer on same account...else is muu point

    a sin will never be archer...he got 20m range and that is it...cant use skills also...i recommend a lunar bow alto since will come handy...many timesb:victory

    I use a +10 G15 Lunar Nirvana bow with regular purge, HP+350, and Max damage +130.

    I've already tried recasting it ~10 times now in hopes of advanced purge, 20 attack levels, or advanced stun, but to no avail.

    It hits hard, and it's fun to use. And the best thing about it is that it matches my outfit :3

    a bow will never match the dmg of a dagger..i use bow for purge mainly and occasionally mobs up like fc...but it is a beautiful bow and looks sexy on you haha
    i still use on my veno beam hood slicer+10 because i i just love to have one of a kind things.....

    Of course a bow will never amount to the damage of daggers for assassins, but it's always fun using them from time to time. I like using them when doing faction base quests or killing mobs without them hitting you.

    It's just viable to use them more in PvP than anything. I like using them, and I just like the way they look.

    The purge is awesome and I like to call it:

    Sins are Scissors, Psychics are Rocks, and Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.

    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock ...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
    So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE.

    My Sin will have on hand:
    Bow of the Goddess > my Archer's old Crimson Horn: Soulsmasher > end it with my Archer's old Heaven Shatterer

    You guys use bows often enough to be using OP ones like that, or you have archer alts?

    For me it's the first one, but I do know that the latter is what most people do to be efficient. I know for a fact that an Archer will be my alt, if I ever decide to make one.

    It's just a lil bit annoying when someone manages to get away far enough so that I have to chase them with my daggers (happens too easily), so if their health is low I just change to bow and shoot a couple times. The bow hits really hard so it usually finishes them off.

    Personally, I'm still using a Vast Land, with a Heaven Shatterer in the plans once I have nothing more important to do.

    The reasoning is quite simple. Heaven Shatterer is one of the only G13+ bows in the game, so it can use the +130 phys attack arrows from Faction Base. Also, Heaven Shatterer comes with Soul Shatter, which is a really good proc for various situations in PvE. And I have a lvl 92 Archer.

    It would sure be lovely to account stash a Heaven Shatterer over to my Archer, considering that one of the reasons I originally rolled an Assassin was because I considered the then 75m price tag for a Heaven Shatterer to be nearly impossible to achieve.

    I use it on eitehr of my sins only. My archer has different gears.

    I don't use it for the dmg, although I've killed enough ppl with it. I use it for the proc.

    Nah, he was there. We were goofing off and dropping squad and pking each other during the warsong wait. Then he got brambled and... game over. So I was trying other tricks, one of which was staying ranged using a bow and it worked. Was just a tt99 gold bow Dragonbow: Nameless but 500+ dex and triple spark will always hurt.

    I'd say get the Lunar 95 bow it's got -int + purge overall just a great bow to have and it's not too expensive to get :)

    The lunar 95 bow in my opinion is the minimal end-game bow for a sin.

    It has the max -int, purge, dex, hits hard enough, and its g13 grade allows for the faction base arrows. It's been stated before in the thread though. XD
