LVL speed my wizzard vs the rest

Wizard will be better after lvl60 and is really good after lvl90.
The new race 70+ are some player doing hyperxp in fc. You can't xp as fast than them.

So Would you reccomend sticking out and carrying on till high lvl (thought wizzard would kill mobs fast/ lvl fast) or create a different char like a seeker ? they seem like awesome tankers aswell as very high dps (wizzards actuall dps are ***** poor imo) ?

As others have said, the people leveling the new races are people with level 100 characters, using those to level their alts faster.


Aside from that, I can tell you Wizzie is probably -THE- hardest class to level; they're late bloomers. They need to kite and keep away from the enemy, they need to hit hard and they need to be able to take a hit. At lower levels, their skills don't hit particularly hard, Gush doesn't slow the enemy enough for the Wizard to kite it, and Stone Barrier is too low for the Wizzie's defense to be any good. Higher levels is where all of these develop and Wizzies start to shine.

And to answer your comment, no, Wizzies don't have high dps. They're a DPH class, not a DPS one.

If you've got your heart set on playing a wizzie, then stick with it. They're frustrating at lower levels but they do improve greatly in the end. If you're just trying to level your first character as quick as possible, then Psychic, Venomancer and Mystic would be good choices. Either way, ignore the Earthguard; they're gonna level faster than you cause they're level 100's in disguise. :P

I was having the exact fellings as you when i first started out. I was dying on a fairly regular basis, and was becoming fairly disillusioned. And gave some serious thought to dropping my wizzard altogether.

Wizards are hard to level up however u shud grit your teeth and stick with it and you will be rewarded. I love my wizzard and its my main char and it will always be.

As for having issues killing mobs, until u level to get better quality gear i reccommend u look at the target mobs and look at their makeup, and combine spells to that for example:

Fire is weak to Water, Earth is week to water, Metal is weak to Fire, Wood is weak to metal so use a combination of earth, water and fire. You'll want to lv Gush as a priority, as its the first skill to slow ur enimies down. Then Pyrogram as it has a fast channel and cast interval. I'm lv 65 and im still learning. As you will, also dont forget your genie two skills you'll find useful is second wind and earthquake. These really helped me up to lv.

Also there is an excellent thread regarding wizzard builds, read it it written by experienced players of our class and will help you.

Yeah, it's kind of sad that he gave up on the game. He could have at least tried another class and gone back to the wiz once he got over the frustration. (Well, maybe not a cleric... They suck at least as hard at low levels...)

Some say...if you do solo FC with the wizzie, it can be lvl 40 in 1 run, lvl 50 in 2nd run and ...i dont know...it seems faster if you just hire a sin to solo it for you, then do quests...or it can be fun playing the old way...questing and grinding. GL to you.
