Petrified Femur set to expire?

Kay. So I got this weapon for my seeker in a trade. Someone gave me a bunch of gear and such in exchange for a genie I had. And for some reason it suddenly has a countdown set to expire in less than half an hour. What the hell? How can a weapon I got from another person expire?

    PAHAHAHAHAH I'm sorry either you're trolling or you're over reacting, that's just the Seeker buff they put on it probably just before they gave it to you, not the weapon :P b:laugh

    it's seeker's buff like runecrafting effect expires.

    That is just a Seeker buff, dont worry your wep will not expire.

    o-o I don't troll.

    I considered that it might be a buff, but when I logged out and logged back in it remained. I had never seen a buff timer on the weapon before,(But considering that I don't pay a ton of attention to my weapon, that's not surprising.) and common sense says if all buffs go away when logging, a weapon buff would too, I assumed it was the weapon expiring and not an added stat. Thanks for letting me know. b:thanks

    Seekers' buffs (ones that change weapon stats) remain upon logging out, they expire only when the time runs out, whether you're logged or not.

    Wait, you bought this weapon for your Seeker... and you don't recognize the effect of one of the Seeker's most powerful self buffs? Wow.

    Well at least this thread proves one thing. Seeker's Bladed Fervor skill does not wear off after you trade the weapon it is applied to to someone else. I had noticed that it didn't wear off when you put the weapon in the Auction House, but didn't really look into it too heavily.

    Also another thing, Seekers really should pay more attention to what their own skills do. Also it should be noted that Seeker Weapon Self Buffs are not the only buffs that do not go away when logging, or dying. The Psychic has a couple of similar buffs that do not disappear when logging or dying as well.
