Christmas past vs Christmas this year

In 2008, there was an event. Snowmen, snowball launchers, snowballs, all kinds of goods stuff. Quests even, free timed (good looking) fashion. Everyone was happy.

In 2009, there was another event. Snowmen, but some of the quests and such broke. No snowball launchers, no colored cards to trade for a small but fun reward, no more free time fashion that looked good.

In 2010, they broke most of everything, so basically, there were snowmen and snow, and that was it. They gave you free permanent fashion that was untradable and unstashable if you stayed logged in for 10 hours during a 1 or 2 week window. Fashion was iffy at best.

Now 2011 Christmas came and went, and we got Snow. And possibly the SAME fashion as last year. *Very slow golf clap*

Next year, yellow snow. >_>

I'm kind of glad I went to a friends house and did non gaming things for the Christmas weekend instead of playing this game...

    Some friends and I have this tradition, that when we're done with everything we have to do the day before christmas, we gather at a friend of mine, and play PWI. Have been doing this since the year PWI was released. We really missed the snowmen and the other cool stuff this year. We were sitting there, talking about how we missed how it used to be, while FF, Nirvana, and selling way to expensive items were flooding the world chat...

    Trying not to sound like a gramp, but some things used to be better...

    I play on Monoganom, and the christmas event was very bad.

    On the old closed PW European Server (PW MS) we had a very good Christmas event. (always after christmas b:laugh but we had it)

    I miss on PWI Quests and Events without fights. As Love in Archosaur / Pair Quest. (don't know why this quest is not avaiable). Or a similar christmas event as on the closed European Server PW MS.

    I'm not sure how pwi are managing to keep people away from private servers. Pwi is basically run like a private server except it is far more expensive and more broken (op classes etc). Lots of private servers actually DID have christmas events, including snowmen!

    Considering how they seem to not care about the spammers advertising private servers, it seems they don't care about keeping people away from private servers.

    Chances are that we won`t even have snow next year (If pwi lasts that long), judging by this downwind spiral!

    Neither me nor my friends have done the Event this year... too late to stay on. It seems we have not missed anything. I just loved the Event in December, 2010. This year I already was ready for the snowmen at the beginning of November, waiting and counting every single day. Well... it's not that I need the free items the snowmen drop but themselves and the Christmas spirit. b:surrender

    While I can understand the disappointment that comes with the lack of snowmen, at least try to give the devs some credit for trying something new.

    This thread has turned into a thread for people to tout the viability of the private server, so I'm going to close it now.
