    I think the devs made malefic crush before charms, event pots, etc came out. In all other MMO's mana is a fairly precious resource, and mana conservation is a big concern. Burning 1/3 of a caster's mana could be deadly without event pots, charms, etc.

    Mana conservation was literally half the fun of playing a priest in WoW (had to abuse the 5-second rule to the max to heal for the harder fights).

    Unfortunately mp as it is right now in PWI provides absolutely 0 gameplay value, and only serves as a money sink.

    Also, EDIT: Re: Actually MP drain is super effective not only on casters, but on phys DPS too, in a non-broken game, and even in PWI it can still be pretty OP against BMs at least (prolly?). Sins can operate entirely without mana for the most part from the time they come out of stealth with a stun, but if DPS isn't broken, mana drain is actually one of the most OP skills in any game.

    Lighting Mages in Forsaken World had a very OP AoE mana drain early on, but they nerfed it shortly before I stopped playing. Basically if you attacked a lightning build Mage you were shut down instantly. Actually, it wouldn't hurt at all if they buffed that mana drain skill on venos a bit :O

    Lightning mages was the OP de-facto PvP build that never made it to FW-NA CB due to massive lightning tree nerfs in FW-CN ; /

    FW is very nice, in its own way:

    The PvP is VERY balanced, hands down, it's about 50 times more balanced than PWI PvP, and there is no such thing as "OP gear" to an extent, and anything that is OP must be farmed, like purple gear. There is the cashshop, and you can buy power from it AFAICT, but the market is such that it would cost a lot, and prolly won't be worth it (right now the leaf exchange isn't as bad as the gold exchange in PWI, so buying stuff for PvP isn't as viable as in PWI).

    Merchanting is limited since most items are bound on picking up or on use. You basically have no "power" items to work with for merchanting other than the Mercury statuettes.

    The game is very fun, and very beautiful, hands down. But I just didn't feel in the mood for all this leveling and gearing stuff again.

    The other thing that got me really unenthusiastic was the fact that in order to level, by around lvl60 or so you will have to join a guild with a guild base. The quests you get from the guild base as dailies are vital to levelling, which is something I really don't care for, and I hate doing GBQ dailies, so meh.

    They recently introduced a form of "TW" somewhat, but there is no land to bid on, and it all operates again, from the guild base, and the guild base stuff is really central to gameplay, and that really irritates me. and only guilds with a certain level guildbase and a certain structure built inside of it can even do the "TWs", so even now, when you search youtube for vids on how Forsaken World TW/Storm Wars or whatever is like, you won't find any, cos nobody does it apparently.

    World PvP is very decent though, and there is a very sturdy arena. Idk, you'll have to try it if you're interested. Too much stuff centered around the guildbases.
