Lots of times people forget that the dsl modem can control what loads and what doesnt by its settings and they are not on comp you have to type in its url address in numbers provided by your provider to get to it ok when there set it below medium and it corrects it from discontinuing and crashes etc k.Sounds like whats happening k modem is disconnecting you from client or servers ok as its set to medium or above and will do this ok,if set below medium it will work correctly ok.

Please ignore Fox_claw, she's decided to help out, but doesn't have a clue. ignore what she says entirely.

It sounds more like the client is crashing because the opening video is having a compatibility issue with another codec that you may have installed. ffdshow is one that tends to cause a problem if it's configured a certain way.
Try removing any 3rd party codecs, reboot your computer, and then try again.

If that's not the case, please provide some detailed system information, along with any errors you may be receiving and I'll help out.

What SylenThunder said. If you've installed any third-party codec packs, remove them. Almost all of them are utter and complete **** and conflict with themselves (nevermind any other codecs that are installed). Especially bad is their ffdshow configurations, as SylenThunder also mentioned.

There is one codec pack distributor which does distribute a very handy tool for finding conflicts: it's CCCP Insurgent. If you run that and see lots of codec pack entries, remove the codec pack(s) and try to play again. It's normal to see a pack listed with one or two codecs, as it's very robust and gives false positives at times when an application has legitimately installed a system-wide codec. But if that third column has a huge list, chances are quite high you've found your problem.

If you really must use a codec pack, CCCP is known to work reasonably well with PWI if you install with default settings and don't ever touch any of its settings. But, again, I disrecommend codec packs. b:shutup

And again, if your problem persists, post more info! b:victory
