So, PWE, since you don't have a proper forum for this, I'll post this here. b:sad (Nevermind that your billing department's phone number is unstaffed, you don't respond to your customerservice email, your live chat's always offline, and the ticketing system is broken...)

I've heard from a number of people that a week or two ago, you sent out an email with a bonus Zen code. I have perfectworld.com and perfectworldinc.com whitelisted and I've checked my spam folder. No email came in. In fact, the most recent email I have from any address at perfectworld.com is my most recent (small, since customer service is going downhill with your stock) charge about a month ago.

Is whatever server you're sending these mails from properly configured, as well as your DNS?

I have noticed that prior emails were sent from mta.email.perfectworld.com ([66.231.92.195]). It appears that your SPF records no longer allow this IP to send mail. You also have a "-all" in your SPF record which means that a failure will cause a compliant MTA to reject the mail.

Since it seems that you're only sending codes to people who have less-than-properly-configured mail servers, what about the rest of us? To be quite frank, there's not much in the way of compelling reasons to spend cash on PWI right now (if anything, the permapacksales reduce the reasons, nevermind the ongoing lack of meaningful fixes to the game, compounded by either underqualified or overextended server monkeys), so not getting whatever this bonus Zen sale is pretty much eliminates my desire to waste money. b:embarrass

Also, if this email ever shows up, will it have the same problem as the FW bonus Zen code a month ago where it doesn't actually give the bonus Zen (even though it shows up on your page before going to the payment processor)? b:sad

    Actually, the proper forum for this would be "The Cash Shop Huddle".

    Also, I don't have any issue receiving this mail with any of my accounts.
    Maybe your ISP's spam filter is catching it. I know mine has one that mail goes through before I download it from the server to Outlook.
    When I'm missing something I think I should have I can usually log in online and find it there.

    But does PWE actually read the Cash Shop Huddle? b:surrender Plus, this is an issue with their email server configuration; I haven't gotten any bulk mail from PWE since November 11. Prior to this date, I have always had a fairly steady stream from their various games.

    Is your email provider properly verifying SPF/SenderID/DKIM information? It appears that PWE's mail partner (ExactTarget) has made a change in the past few weeks to their SPF/SenderID information which makes it non-compliant with the spec and therefore will cause the result to be invalid. As I noted, the "-all" at the end of their record tells a complaint MTA to deny all mail which fails. A lenient (and not-fully-complaint) recipient MTA will accept the result that I've computed manually from their records, which would explain why GD gets occassional complaints about this issue in the past month or so.     I'm not going to offer a suggestion on how to properly fix the records, as every time in the past I've made a suggestion, they have told me that they can't do it the same way a mere player has suggested even if it's part of that player's day job. b:surrender

    As I stated, it's not even making it into my spam folder. It's not even hitting my MTA's whitelisting, most likely due to the DNS failure with their SPF/SenderID records.

    One of the threads I linked stated that MonkeyShatter was looking into it, but nothing further ever came of it. Apparently he never got it resolved... b:surrender

    By the way, on a related note, if PWE doesn't give full Zen for a purchase, and we can't contact PWE, we're allowed to chargeback, correct? b:question

    The ToS is unclear as to whether a chargeback is valid to PWE if they don't give you the amount of Zen that the purchase page states for the amount you're charging. b:sweat

    The bank says it's been 30 days, so they consider the chargeback valid...

    Well.. to sum up what I'm about to say below - maybe they didn't send the email to everyone.

    Whether or not you've spent any amount of money in this game didn't seem to matter. I have two accounts. One account I've put a large amount of money into the game with. This account (two different email addresses - both through the same email client and server) never receivied any sort of bonus Zen offer. The account which seemed to be inactive (mainly just banks, old toons) received the Zen email, even though I never charged anything on that account.

    Possibly PWI is doing the same thing many games do - attempt to get their inactive players back to the game by offering an incentive. Just a thought since neither my main account nor my boyfriends account (both highly active) received any promo offer.

    Since I was putting money in for my Sin on my main account, I just purchased it via the second account and then sent the money over. The 10% extra Zen offer DID work. Both of my accounts have email addresses through well-configured email servers as well (both private).

    Doesn't seem to any pattern on how they sent the offer. Both my accounts are active, only 1 received the offer. The 10% bonus did work though.

    Well.. to sum up what I'm about to say below - maybe they didn't send the email to everyone.

    I've taken the time to compute their SPF records. They don't meet the spec. b:shocked

    It isn't just the bonus Zen email I didn't get. I've not gotten any bulk mail from them since November 11. Prior to that, it was at least 1 per week. Sometimes 3 or 4. The faucet of promo PWE email across the various games just up and shut off that day.

    And I'd really really like GM attention if I can get it regarding not getting the full amount of Zen on the last time I bothered to charge, before contacting the bank. b:surrender All the Zen bonuses in the world don't help convince people to charge if there's no guarantee that we'll even get what we pay for.

    Have you opened a ticket of not getting the charged amount? You'll get a response faster there than waiting to Panda to wake up and read this forum.

    i recently saw some ppl was receiving emails with free hypers....my question is...why i didnt receive not a single email??? i didnt know about the 10 hrs event for free fash or the hypers....i lost like 15 hypers , now...how u guys can solve this? any1 ?? -__-
