Pve and Pvp?

If I make a character in pve I cant use it for pvp? Do I have to make diferent characters for both? Cause Im new and I made my character in pve and have spent some time getting to lvl20, for me it was kinda hard since I dont know much about the game.

    Because you are in a pve server, you will have to create a new character in a pvp server in order to be able to pk (player kill) However, you won't be able to pk or be pkd until lvl 30, until which point you will be "blue name" I would suggest making a new character on lost city. The pve game play is still the same, but you run the risk of getting pkd outside of safezone.

    You can PvP on all servers PvE or PvP once you hit lvl 30 the only real difference is on PvE serers it is optional to PvP where as on a PvP server once you reach lvl 30 you will be forced into PvP and can never switch out of it.
